My Biggest Nsv To Date...
Weigh2Go replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Will pray for you! Sounds like a great position! -
I met my first major goal - getting to onederland!!!! I stalled just over 200 for over 3 weeks - so for those of you stalled & frustrated, hang in there! I'm almost 4 weeks out & have released 48 lbs. I'd say lost it but I don't want to find it ever again Getting back in the ones for the first time in over ten years has given me a much needed boost of confidence.

Thanks!!!

Family Stressing Me Out 2 Days Before Big Day. Help!
Weigh2Go replied to Misstxdiva's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My parents were anxious about my surgery also. Now that I am 4 months out & 50 lbs down I am so glad I did it anyway. Spent time with my parents this week & they both are so proud & have said it was a good choice. You'll want some help that first week - once you are out of surgery your parents will chill out. -

Weigh2Go replied to jerseygirl74's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats!!!! I am stalled right above the Onederland mark --- frustrating --- but it inspires me to see your achievement -
It gets much better! I am 3 months out - you will eat again - you just won't need to eat large amounts because you will fill up so quickly. I still crave sugar but don't binge on it anymore. Hang in there!

I did the injections before I had sleeve surgery - lost 40 lbs. but started losing my hair & quit the shots and gained it back slowly.

I was crazy addicted to regular coke. Have not had it since surgery. Now when I want something other than Water I pick crystal lite tea or sobe water 0. Hang in there!

Scheduled....but Lingering Question Is 'am I Messing With God's Work'.
Weigh2Go replied to vsgm's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
God wants us to be around to witness to others. When I was trying to decide if I could take thus step & have surgery - I was praying about it while driving (eyes open 'lol) & said I need you to show me this is what I should do - & "Voice of Truth" came on the radio as soon as I said it. I also got a call from my mom who was not really for the surgery saying she had been thinking about it & changed her mind. Anyway - it was scary to take the step but it probably saved my life. I am so much healthier already & am only 6 weeks out. Take Care - -

Are You Happy With Your Choice?
Weigh2Go replied to MiTurner247's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am glad I had the sleeve - I feel like now I eat they way I only wished I could before. I like it because I'm not hungry like I was on "diets" and I have control over my food decisions - whereas before if something sweet was in the house it called my name until I ate it. It is really a blessing. If I had diabetes I probably would have done the bypass - nothing wrong with that surgery but I didn't want to worry about dumping. -

Anyone Ever Lost Friends After Knowing You Were Getting The Surgery?
Weigh2Go replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
A friend told me tonight in conversation that she admires Oprah because "she lost her weight the right way" which I took as a jab so I told her Oprah also gained most of it back the wrong way. I noticed in general my friends that have weight to lose have not been around as much & thinner friends have been more chatty towards me. -

My Two Cents On Protein
Weigh2Go replied to PdxMan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great topic. I am new at this (finishing my 3rd week sleeved) - my thoughts are that I had the surgery to help me jump start a healthier life - one that I plan to continue after I get my excess weight off. I do drink one protien shake each morning to jump start the day since at this point I can't eat much.... but other than that I have changed my eating to "real" foods that are high in protien. I feel better than I have in years - and I think a lot of that comes from simply eating better quality foods (and no longer drinking cokes). I always tried to find a way to cheat my way to thin through crazy diets - and in my opinion the protien shots and the like are a way to not eat healthy but try and meet the protien requirements without really changing ones lifestyle to eat clean. -
I'm Never Ever Ever Eating Again!
Weigh2Go replied to Riss1908's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am finishing up my 3rd week & am on soft foods. I like greek yougart, soups, chili (but really chew or blend it), I also like ovengold turkey from the deli with laughing cow light cheese. Just don't eat much at a time! -
