    Broke Stall!

I'm in the 3week stall and stick at 200.1.....really scale? You couldn't stall at 199.9? Anyways I had to go buy new pants today as nothing fits anymore so I'm focusing on that. Then today I was on a teleconference when one of the attendees on the other end sent me an email that simply said " Damn girl, looking good!" I haven't been so happy in years...so happy I out my gym clothes on and went to the gym. I'm gonna see that scale move dangit! Congrats on your victories! May we all get compliments that make us proud!

    Bad Dream...

The morning after I was released from the hospital I dreamed hubby and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and I ate Honey Barbeque wings (it makes me salivate to type that) I swear it was like a dirty dream....but I woke up terrified I really thought I ate them. Hubby thinks I'm psycho, however, when I drive past BWW I still gaze longingly.

    Lapband to sleeve weight loss

I had a band in 3/12, port flips, slips you name it for complications. I could have won an award for slime queen, I was always hungry but unable to eat. I saw another doc on an emergency basis in Nov and he got approval for removal and switch to sleeve. We spent a lot of time discussing my situation and basically it boils down to this....some people's bodies just reject the mechanical device. Mine hated it and wanted it out. I was nervous about the sleeve but I went ahead with it. He did both on 12/13/12 (removal of band and sleeve) and I feel like my old self! (minus 30 lbs and all the food consumption). Good luck on your path whichever way you go!
  5. Agreed Aussie, but in my docs office this woman was a legend. Apparently when she originally came in after she did it she told him she just ate a cracker. Duh...like he isn't gonna figure it out when he goes in and sees all the toppings! So every time I leave he says " no Subway!"
  6. My surgeon had a lady that ate Subway....Subway! I couldnt even hold down broth after surgery! How the heck could you put a Subway Sandwich in that little tummy? Anyways she blew her sutures and leaked, hospital for 3 months.

    Weight is STUCK!

It could be worse! You could have gotten stuck at 201!
  8. Interesting question as I asked the same thing. When I had my lapband that doc had me on tummies but the NUT for my sleeve doc rolled her eyes at the notion and said "uh no". I don't know what the reason for that is but I trust my sleeve doc and he trusts her soo....non-tummies it is.

    Haters And Nosy Folk!

You go girl! You look fab! My people knew I had surgery and was having trouble with my stomach but I didn't tell them why. I will return to work on Wed down 30 pounds. I literally work with all men so it will be interesting to see what comments I get. There industry I work in the guys have no filter so they will either make inappropriate "hey baby" comments or they won't know what to say, be afraid to offend and avoid ,e like the plague!
  10. Mine was done together, Dr told me up front it may take a little longer as he had to undo all the band garbage but no need for 2 surgeries. I almost 4 weeks out and I feel like a million bucks. Good luck to you!

GOOD fast food choices ?! :)

The fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonalds, and they are yummy!
  12. 200.1 this morning! What kind of cruel torture is that? Wahhhhh!
  13. Procedure was comparable to getting the band, but it took a bit longer as they had to undo the other docs work. I have had no complications and have been staying on track on my diet. Diet for my doc was week1 Clear liquids, week 2 full liquid, week 3 purée/mushy food, week 4 soft regular food. The sleeve is totally different, I'm not in constant pain, I don't throw up or slime when I eat and I don't get all the gurgling noises that used to come bubbling up (which was great at business meetings). I did not have any hungry until week 2, and it is minimal , I found that sometimes it could be cured with Water or iced tea rather than food. I am down 25 pounds since the 13th....could be a bit more as Ive been traveling this week and haven't been able to weigh. Lastly, my scars are the same, new doc just used lapband docs incision sites. They are healing nice, I adore my doctor!
  14. I just did my conversion on the 13th of Dec. I feel great! Happy to chat with you more about it if you like.
  15. I left on vacations week ago at 204' by the time I get home I'm praying too a 1 in that first digit,

    Clear liquid ideas

Miso soup is good, but better if you pick up a container from a local Japanese restaurant. Wonton soup from a Chinese restaurant is also good just tell them to not throw in the wontons...

    Yummy Greek Yogurt? Yes!

I prefer Dannon also it's not as chunky as the others.
  19. Also, pickup Wonton soup (minus the wontons) from a Chinese restaurant. The broth is yummy and gives you the feeling that you are getting to eat out.
  20. I was on clear for 7 days and the full liquid for the next 7 days.

    Need A Houston Surgen

I see Dr Matthew St. Laurent, he works at both Methodist Willowbrook and North Cypress. I can't say enough good things about this man. Great bedside manner, he sat and actually listened, let me finish my thoughts first and then provided an answer! What a great feeling. I left his office and on the way out I said "dr I am so happy with you I'm fixin to give you a hug" he stopped looked at me and simply said "let's have it! The world needs more hugs"
  22. Thanks! I do seem to be able to eat yogurt without issue so that is good. I couldn't tolerate drinking milk so I did switch to soy yesterday for shakes. Someone told me the almond soy is better then the Soy brand , did you guys have some advice on which is better?
  23. I was sleeved 12/13, on mushy phase just now. So I am back visiting relatives for the holidays when they decided to go out for ice cream. (they don't know I had this type of surgery) In my previous life I had a deep, eart shattering love of ice cream. So I decided I'd have a few spoonfuls with the fam....that can't hurt! Um yea....my body most assertively issued a "No ma'am" to me within 5 minutes of eating 4 spoonfuls. I'm sorry new tummy, it won't happen again, yes I know your the new boss. Sincerely, Your Humble Servant Neekoal
  24. I pray my tummy will let me try dairy again in a few months. :-/
