So this first week I am interested in seeing how the WW points plus system works with: My band, my budget, time (or lack thereof), how full or hungry do I feel, am I bored already etc. Sort of an information gathering week. I definitely don't expect to be able to follow the points-plus plan like WW wants (i.e., eat all your points) but am going to try to do the plan the best I can and see how I feel and if this is something not only do I want to do, but can help me stay in a weight loss zone. Week 1.15.12 through 1.21.12 [Daily Point Allowance: 41, Weekly Points Allowance: 49] Sunday Carmel Machiato [8pts], 4 Breakfast Sausages [5], slim-fast snack bar [3], taco bell [12] , yoplait [4], light peaches & 1/4 cup grape nuts [4.5] = 32.5 [*]Monday Breakfast/Coffee [16], sweet & spicy tuna [5], light peaches & 1/4 cup grape nuts [4.5], coffee/creamer [2], bag of kettle corn popcorn [15] = 42.5 [*]Tuesday [*]Wednesday [*]Thursday [*]Friday [*]Saturday

Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
_Jen_ replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am also busting out all my WW stuff. I have restarted my journey but while I tip toe back into my fills (trying to not be so tight I am getting stuck on everything..) I have to try something to help me validate that I am eating in a way that will be for weight loss (versus someone who is trying to maintain or gain). For example, I have noticed that over the 10+ days since restarting my journey I am all over the map for food volumes being consumed. Which is too unstable and slowing me down. So I am seeing if the WW stuff can help me. -

Ok........so When Food Gets Stuck.......then What?

kinda graphic but.. this is what happens to me. body gives me these immediate - stop or your going barf signal, followed by a runny nose, production of spit in my mouth, unable to burp sensation, sometimes nausea and I puke whats in my stoma. if it is really bad I will have a full on stomach barf (like when you have a very bad flu) all within 60 - 90 seconds!!! Don't get stuck while DRIVING!!! it sucks. -

eating as a form of enjoyment after the surgery
_Jen_ replied to james42's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
so my experience has and is very different from you all who have supportive friends and family. Eating with anyone who is not banded (less my husband and son) absolutely sucks! I dread Birthdays, Holidays, Summer BBQs etc. Its not that people are purposely mean or malicious, just ignorant and no matter how many time I 'explain' things, have a positive attitude, try to just 'visit' etc....I get sick of being the freak center of attention. It know it is just another 'thing' I'll end up having to figure out and reconcile since food and celebration is EVERYTHING to my friends, co-workers and family. -

I'll post a blog entry

{DRAFT DIRECTIONS - I'll keep refining these until they are near exact - That will help folks who are new to using web applications - last updated 1/8/12 1pm pst} This is how add the Chart to my Blog. Sign up at Myfitness Pal website Enter all your wt and wt loss settings via the settings link Go to "Reports" Tab Select "Progress", Choose a report type "Weight" , Reporting period "Last 7 days" Click "View Report" button Once the chart is generated, using print screen or 'snip it' in windows create an image that you can save to your desk top (remember the name! this is the image you will override each week as you see progress) Log back into LBT. Create a Gallery for this new chart image. By doing that you do not have to 'host' the image on a 3rd party server you can utilize the URL from the LBT gallery as a means to post the chart in your blog, forum posts etc. Each week, re log into the myfitness pal site, update your stats, repeat the screencapture sets & upload the newest chart image to your gallery.

Do You Sometimes Get Discouraged Or Regret Getting The Lapband?
_Jen_ replied to FAT2FLAT43's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Absolutely. I found the best remedy for that was getting unfilled and having to come to terms with the reality that I need this and will be a bariatric person for the rest of my life. Too bad I had to gain 80 pounds before I had my "ah-ha" moment..
