I came in at 6am on Monday and left before noon the next day, so glad.. I didn't get any of my medications that were oral for that whole time! They considered that outpatient, I guess because it was less than 24 hours.

It's a heart rate monitor! I suggest polar, that's what someone suggested to me and it has been worth every penny, I spent 100 dollars off amazon for it they sold them at the gym I got to for like 200, but I opted for cheaper! -
7 Months And Still Struggling...
BandedGirl829 replied to onmyway11's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was frustrated too, but my last fill must have done it for me for now. I have had 5 fills and I have 7 cc in a 10 cc band I have lost 49 since August 29th. I have Greek yogurt or a protein shake for breakfast because I am too tight to eat solid foods in the morning. My doctor and nutritionist tells me to stay away from pasta, bread, and rice. There are some days that I can't even eat lunch that is solid others I am fine to eat solids I asked my doc about that at the last appointment I had he said that it was typical to have tighter days than the others. I make sure I eat a lot of protein and I do not really pay attention to the rest I just eat until I am full. Don't give up, I was about to before I got my last fill and my doc said we just started this journey don't give up on me already! You will get there!! -

@ Georgia Girl you are a first! I have found that there are a whole lot of inaccurate exercise calories also you can read on the forums that I am not the only one. For example I once went roller skating for 2 hours it said that I burned 1500 calories I thought not possible I got my polar and found out that it really wasn't I had only burned 650 calories in like 3 hours of skating I think all my numbers were off. My personal trainer told me not to trust the numbers as well because you can only trust an accurate measurement of your heart rate while training and also the fact that MFP overestimates. When I seen that high of a number of cals burned when I went skating that's when I realized I needed a HRM! Good luck to you girl along your weight loss journey! -

About the calories I would not touch them unless you have a HRM because myfitnesspal overestimates everything some people need those extra carbs after a good long work out I have experienced this before I have worked out really hard and I just felt so hungry after and that was my body saying that I needed extra carbs! I would say just listen to your body, you know it better than anyone and your definitely not going into starvation mode anytime soon! Lol -

Peanut Butter...means More Protein!!
BandedGirl829 commented on FndSum12luvme's blog entry in lkn412luv's Blog
You should try bell plantation powdered peanut butter, they have chocolate flavored peanut butter kind, you can google search it and probably find it in your area. It cuts down the fat and the calories, I add it to everything, greek yogurt, my shakes, I love it best thing ever made! It's 45 calories a serving. 1.5 grams of fat per 2 TBSP. -
The pre-mixed fruit flavored drinks are awful!!!! Just awful!!!

Hi, My name is Miranda and I was banded August 29, 2011. I just want to check out the site and see how everyone experiencing things differently. My doctor is not listed on here but his name is Dr. Benjamin Tanner from Louisville, KY. He is great! It's been almost 5 months since I was banded and I kind of got discouraged because it has taken so long to get properly adjusted so I can actually feel full. I just went in 3 weeks ago and now I am at 6.5 cc's in my band. I haven't lost a lot post-op but I lost more pre-op. I am hoping when I go to my next appointment that I have lost more than 1 or 2 and not gained any! I'm still getting used to my band, and I am not sure if I need a fill or not. I haven't eaten a lot since my last fill because I get sick I believe it is because I am not chewing properly because before now, I felt like I had little to no restriction. I just got a gym membership for a Christmas gift so I will be hitting it up soon and I am saying good riddance to the fat girl days!
