    Bowel Movement

"Never trust your farts" reminds me of the motto of one of my favorite Mexican restaurants which was "Every farts a gamble". LOL
  2. Hi folks, I'm a week and a half post-op and am doing pretty well pain wise now, but going through surgery gave me one hell of a back pain. The muscles on the left side of my spine were totally knotted up, and the skin over them was numb. This was really the only "pain" I had from surgery. Someone has told me that there is a device they could have used during surgery that would have elevated my knees. Anyone else experience this?
  3. Skinnymom, Is it possible to go through the surgery without being cathed?

Where Are All The Guys At?!?!?!?!?

I be here too. I'm about a month pre-op and having the preparatory tests done. Sleep study, scope down the throat, counseling, ultrasound. I think my surgeon has ordered evry single test possible for me! He is on record as reccomending a RNY, but the more I read about the sleeve, the more I am definately going with it. I have a high BMI and am afraid that I won't get to where I want to be. (Thin) I am so sick of being fit and all of the crap that comes along with it that I want to get down to almost skinny. I want to be able to walk and walk and walk. So sick of being almost disabled. Ahh, TMI you say? OK, getting off my soap box.

    Egg Drop Soup

Can you eat egg drop soup during the early stages post-op? I'm talking about that soup commonly found at Chinese restaurants made from chicken broth with wisps of beaten egg thru it. I love this stuff and could easily see myself being content with it. Any thoughts?

    Baby Food?

Hi folks, this is my first post, am pre surgery, and am looking to get sleeved in the first quarter of next year. I wanted to know if, during the phase after surgery where you need to eat soft foods, would baby foods be appropriate? It seems like it might be a good choice with decent variety, and fairly nutritional, with the right consistency. Also, why do you need to watch your diet so closely (calories, fat. carbs) when your stomach is one tenth the size as before? Thanks for any replies, and I am sure you will be seeing me around alot! Baby Food?

Thank you all for the replies. I have identified a surgeon that I would like to do my surgery and will be calling tomorrow to schedule a consultation. I am very excited about the very real possibility of a major weight loss. I know that I will have to deal with head hunger, but I am so sick of being fat that I will do what it takes!

    Baby Food?

Right, just short term. But it sounds like going the magic bullet route and making your own might be more palatable.
