I can relate. I don't miss the food as much as I miss the convenience of eating what I want when I want, Just grabbing a burger in between my kids after school activities and work was so much easier. Now I have to actually plan what and when I am going to eat. I am currently in my heavy liquid stage and its slowly getting better, but it definitely takes more work then how I was living. We just have to know that what we are doing is the BEST in the end. I have actually noticed that I enjoy what I eat now, even if it is just strained soup and yogurt lol. I used to eat an entire meal in 10 min, but now we have to slow down and we get to savor. Your doing great and it will all turn out fine.

    Personal Introduction

Ive been doing really well actually. I still had the pleasure of cooking a big Christmas dinner, I just didn't eat any of it. Instead I had strained cream of broccoli soup. The Holidays are not really bothering me that much. The biggest issue I seem to have is not wating as often as I should. I forget to eat because I get busy doing something. But I will get used to it.
  3. Ive never belonged to an online group/blog/forum etc. After receiving my surgery (Dec 19th 2011) I wanted the chance to discuss my progress, problems and goals with others that would understand what I was going through. I am 28 yrs old and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, asthma and high triglycerides. I work 2 jobs and have 5 children under 13 (2 biological 3 step children). I found it extremely hard to loose the excess weight. I finally decided that I needed help beyond what I could do myself. My goal was and is mainly to be healthy. I want to be able to play with my children and not be out of breath within the first few moments. I also want to be around to watch them all graduate college and to eventually play with my own grandchildren (in MANY MANY YEARS AWAY).
  4. I had my surgery on Dec 19th and was back to work on Dec 28th. My job is a little physical, but I have good support at work so that I am not lifting much. I actually feel better now that I am working again. My energy is increasing and I just feel better.
