aliandrews replied to Tattoodmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost 21 lbs my first month. It has been 4 months since my surgery and I have lost 54 lbs. So, don't worry it will come off. Everyone loses differently. -
How long did it take you to lose all your weight? I am four months out and have lost 54 lbs and would love to lose everything by my one year anniversary, but won't obsess over it if I don't. I have to lose 150 lbs.

Everyone is so different. I am surprised at one week post op he said to start solids, but maybe he has had success doing this. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Can You Keep Losing Weight After A Year
aliandrews posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have heard that your weight loss will slow after a year for the sleeve. I am hoping to reach goal but at the rate I am going I don't think I will lose all 150 pounds by a year. I have lost 54 pounds but am worried I won't lose all the weight. Give me good news. -
No Drinking With Food .... Why?
aliandrews replied to Cherrybomb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It feels uncomfortable for me if I drink too soon after eating, like an over full feeling. -
3 Weeks Away And Worried
aliandrews replied to starsleeve's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You will have cravings, but they lessen with time. I had them early on after surgery and that's when I realized how obsessed I was with food. It gets better. I still crave, but after I eat my protein, I don't crave as much because I get full fast. You won't have a choice in the beginning with all the fluids that you will have to drink. Your stomach won't be able to handle much anyway. You are going to have to learn how to cope without eating what you want. -
I was driving around today in the car and looked down. I suddenly realized my stomach no longer touches the steering wheel. It was far, far, far away and I mean far away. I couldn't believe. Losing 53 lbs really is something. Surgery was December 7th 2011 and I feel so awesome. WhooHoo. Keep rocking your sleeves everyone.

Hypothyroid Issues
aliandrews replied to Amanda 3.0's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the heads up. I am taking Levothyroxine and my dosage has been lowered also. -
I stalled at the end of my 2nd week and didn't lose anything for eight days. I was so upset and thought I wasn't going to lose anymore. It broke and I kept losing. Now I come to expect a stall at the beginning of each month which lasts 5 days. I have lost 52 pounds in four months. So, don't worry. It will be over before you know it.

Am I The Smallest Guy That Had A Leak?
aliandrews replied to joseph's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow, you are so young. I just looked at your profile and it showed you were over 300 lbs. Did you have any comorbities? You were brave for doing something so drastic at your age. I hope everything goes well for you after everything you have gone through. I don't know if you are the youngest person to go through this or not. Good luck. -
I used to love skim milk. For some reason, my sleeve doesn't want to tolerate it. Soy milk doesn't do it for me either. I guess I have to give it more time or maybe I just can't drink it anymore.

YAY!!!!!!! Good for you.

Not Losing Weight
aliandrews replied to ashleystanley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost really fast in the beginning. I was sleeved 12/7 and lost 21 pounds that month. I go through periods of not losing weight for a week, then I will lose 8 pounds total for the month. I know it is frustrating, but your body is going thru alot right now. You will start losing again. -
Relationship With Hubby..better Or Worse After Sleeve Results?
aliandrews replied to betterthanbefore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am sorry you are going through this. Maybe he is worried that he is going to lose you and is going about it the wrong way. He might think that someone will steal you away from him. I think you need to have a conversation with him about how he is acting. It isn't cool. -

My husband has told me the same thing. -
If you feel it is something serious, then you should get checked out. I don't know what is wrong, but it sounds worrisome.

We got busy two weeks later, but were very careful since I was still sensitive.
