We went kayaking yesterday and it was awesome!!! I can fit into a lifejacket and it is loose. It's great. My bathing suit is loose mainly up in the chest area. I am going to need to get a new one. I feel awesome.

Hey, I think you are doing great. I lost 21 lbs my first month and probably lost about the same lbs as you by 2 1/2 months out. Right now I am 66 lbs down, so you just need to keep doing what you are doing. It will come off. -

Low Bmi...how Much Can I Expect To Lose?
aliandrews replied to Thinner Peace's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should definitely be able to do it. -
I felt the same way you were feeling. I went through the six month diet and was just yearning for it to be over. Well, it finally ended and went faster than I thought. Keep you head up and just know that YOU WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT. I felt awful for a long time too and hated buying clothing for myself too. There were days where I just wanted to stay in bed and not shower at all. But, good luck to you and keep up your spirits.

My NUT also told me to eat 3x a day. Sometimes I will eat more. I guess they are doing what they think is best. -
Why Did You Choose The Sleeve Over The Others?
aliandrews replied to Amie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't want malabsorption or my insides re routed. I thought this was the best surgery for me because will still have a full functioning stomach. I just have to eat smaller rations. I had heard bad things about the lap band like pro lapse and not being able to eat solid foods. I had a friend that would throw up every time she ate. Everything for her had to be mushy. -
Yay!!

aliandrews replied to mistyf6572's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It seems like you are doing great to me. I know at 3 weeks I lost 15 lbs and then had an 8 day stall. This will work. Keep up with the walking and protein. -
I Am 5'1" And 235 Pounds Pre- Surgery
aliandrews replied to Lucabelle1313's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey, I am 5'1" and was 273 lbs. I am almost 5 months post op and I feel great. I have lost almost 60 lbs and don't have anymore pain. I lost 21 lbs in the first month with an 8 day stall included. I have more energy and don't get winded when I climb steps. The clear liquid diet was the hardest to go through. I did that for 2 weeks and then did full liquids. It was 7 weeks before I had any solid food. Right now I eat just fine and know when I need to stop eating. Let me know of any questions you have. -
I think some insurance companies have 30 days to approve. Mine approved me at 2.5 weeks, so don't fret.

Me And My Relationship With Cereal Has To End! Ugh!
aliandrews replied to mrsbrown0330's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Nut said I could only have 5 grams of carbs per meal. That would be about 15 gr total. In my opinion, I think it's rather low so I don't always stick to it. -
Good luck to you.
