  1. Example I have, Dietpower 4.4 eating coach software, I tried the trial and its a bit hard to use. I may have to get used to it unless I can find others to try ? http://www.dietpower.com/
  2. I am pre-op, I'd thought since I had been experimenmting doing Puree I might ask here where people who might like to cook and probably have been there can let me know some real tips, I am thinking of getting an immersion hand blender hoping it works better than my blender and Nutri bullet which can mix nice clear alike liquids as long as I add much Water or something. I am not into making slush for this at all times, I think I'd rather have a smooth dryer like mix but slush is what I started to get trying to add liquid and get the darn thing all pureed. Whats good ingredinants and method and tips you think better. Please, do me the favor, I'll pass it on where I can.
  3. lilac lass, the cuts are made vertically, down the stomach, they remove the back or left side vertical of your present stomach leaving a vertical pouch.
  4. Because it is not a side ways stomach sleeve, *smiling*
  5. Started with a referal to surgeons Dec 2011, I was aproved by surgeon May 2012, waited for insurance until Oct. 28 2012, was sleeved DEC. 11th 2012
  6. Thats quite allot of stuff there, should fill a good portion of any good will box , lol. I'd suggest, just dump most of them, get it over with and feel good about it, kiss the cash good bye and start a-new feeling even better with new stuff but not suffer over loss of those old clothes. Some time I will have a normal sized dresser drawers too. I'm just started losing and willing to hang on to my fatty clothes until I just can not wear them at all. Lot's of luck with the last few. hmmm, or sell ???

    Out of surgery

congrats, I was glad to be on the post op side too, still am, got home Thursday, every day seems better.
  8. Hi Tiffany Winn, I also was sleeved on Tuesday and came home Thursday. Sorry to hear your having so much troubles, my pain is mostly quieted down now and in control but amazingly I have a little light gas and none diarhia just yet which also can be normal. They seemed to say most pains were in the cuts and not the stomach, I would disagree with that now. Most all my pains were internal but are managable now. If I were you I'd devote a day or two to no motion and sleep as much as I could on my back. I think your body needs some rest, if you have a tempeture or rapid heart rates thats a worry, otherwsie you should get better with the pain I think.
  9. I'd just like to say thanks for leting me read along here and learn, it's been a great deal of help and help in coping ect.. I am now grateful many facts were available. I can't wait to wake up afterward and finaly sleeved, no regrets now and hope none later the same and more so.
  10. new post here : http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/61738-home-again-post-op/
  11. Was walked into operating room, lied down and hooked up here and there, given drugs and woke up 2 1/2 hours later. It seemed like 5 or 10 minutes went by although I now was in allot of pain. 5 cuts. Sutures were clean and neat and surgicaly glued closed, which for me was a sign it was carefuly done but also do not hurt a bit. Was in pain in my stomach 2 days, now not as much and can move about pretty well already, medicine takes care for that. No hunger, yes, I was not hungry as I sipped my 1 ounce water for 24 hours, not at all. I smelled foods being eaton by hospital employees but did not want to eat them at all, although I can not yet report any strange sensations when trying to drink or eat such as super sweet taste. So, waited over night to be tested, then 24 hours sipping water, then 2 ounce Ensure breakfast and sent home, wa - la ! I am sleeved. Best things I brought, biotine moisture mouth spray ( first day ), baby wipes ( clean up after catheder removed and fresh up ), over sized robe ( for walking halls at hospital ).
