Hi. Also the Lapland does not remove any part of the stomach unless it restricts around the area that you are speaking of and that could play apart I'm not sure. However me personally have hypothyroidism. lupus. Raynauds. Ect so I'm always cold too but losing weight I have gotten colder. So may it is a general weightloss thing.

Okay we all have heard it said before BUT tighter is not better even if its not your own fault. I've been doing great. Haven't had an adjustment since Jan. But lately I have been tight having reflux and such but begrudgingly went in for an unfill. Dr. Thinks I got so inflamed from my fibro/lupus flare up and never auieted down. I couldn't eat well so ofcourse I went to the slider foods and the effect ... gained a few pounds back. No surprise there. Well hopefully it will all be rectified soon an I can go back to my "green" zone again.

Hi I am concerned with the unfill I got. Right away I did get relief and I can eat but I'm having to go back to measuring because I know I could eat a whole lot more. I hope this goes by quickly so I can get my fill back.

B52. I can agree with most of ehat you are saying like knowing our bands intimately. However I to jusy got a small unfill after almost a year. I started getting tighter due to inflamation and got to the point where only junk would go down. Even living by the rule protein first was hard an painful to do. So getting a small unfill to eat real food is a great idea. IMHO. Not to eat both junk and real just to eat a salad like the op stated. Also she's right to come to the boards for help/opinions. There some oldies here still like Missy me and you.

Even after losing weight. Why do i still look and feel fat?
tym4me posted a topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I was just wondering how many of us after losing weight. Whether at goal or not do you still look in the mirror an see youself as fat. Or feel yourself fat maybe in the face (chubby cheeks) or something. I havent loss tons of weight but i weigh less now than i have in a decade but i still see myself as fat. Maybe even more now than when i first started. I dont get it. People notice my thinner self even my teenage sons comment on it. But i dont see it. Sorry for rambling just wondering if there is anyone else out yhere going through the same thing. Or if you did what did you do to correct your view of yourself?? -
Well since I live in the state of Romney. Massachusetts. I see what a job he did. An yes the New Healthcare plan is based off of some articles as the Romney care. Whether right or wrong people deserve healthcare. Why can other countries offer it free an clear but not here. Hmmm?

I too am in school an understand the tuning in aspect. Later in the day we get physically and mentally tired. One quick fix record your lecture. Then start increasing your protein and water maybe you just need the increased energy because you have so much going on. -
In 2 weeks you could look like this!

Hi, so far I feel I am doing well with my lap band. I am in Onederland for the first time in 16 years, my plantar facitis is completely gone, I can walk miles and not die. However "the girls" are still the same. I am on the smaller size as far as my frame is considered but I have always been busty. Im 5'2" and started this journey with a bust size of 40DD, now I'm 36DD. I still get back pain, I still get the digging in on my shoulders from my bra straps. I have lost 40lbs. so my question is, do I still have hope that by losing more weight I will get to a smaller size or should I go ahead and make my appt for a reduction consult.? thanks for your help
-
@lellow lol yes we should have switched. I really want to go down since I'm trying to get into walking/running. Tx

Negative remarks -- from someone who should know better
tym4me replied to parisshel's topic in Rants & Raves
Hi there. IMHO there is a difference in being polite and. Being walked on. Sorry to say you were walked on. ie. There is always a dignified way of answering these questions. You haven't lost weight... "oh you see so many people however I have lost 30pounds and I'm feeling really good about that" Or You'll go back to bread/carbs. You can say. "Don't get me wrong I still have a varied diet however I stay away from the white foods, but I do enjoy brown rice, Quinoa, or whole wheat grains." Yes I have given this a lot of thought since I have ran into the same scenario's. But maybe most importantly you will be teaching your daughter to stand up in a respectful way about her decisions. Oh an yes that "professional" was out of line. -
Wonderful. Thanks. So many options

Does anyone know of a web site that has recipes utilizing a muffin tin for portion control. I used to have a site but for the life of me can't remember what it was. Thanks guys

Wow great job! Keep up the good work. -
I think it time for obesity to be recognized as a disease. As far as the "chemical" dependency. Our brains react an respond to sugar just like heroin. An go through much of the same phases of withdrawal as such. So I think that's a chemical dependency.

Sorry no disrespect but Whatever! To your hubby. Yes we have to change the way we eat.. to be healthier.to not get stuck an to absolutely not be where we all started. Besides he doesn't have to eat it. Keep experimenting you'll find something you'll like.

Sf choc pudding. With sf dairy topping. Or if its late I will brush my teeth to get that strong minty flavor that stops my cravings.

I was banded 10/11 and I have lost 32 pounds (as of today.my weight goes up an Down every week) lol. However I had to sit down an really be honest with what I was consuming. My husband chimed in too an we saw I was still grazing an taking g in too many sugary foods/liquids. For the past few weeks I've been losing much better So maybe u need to do an honest self examination an calorie count an see if that helps. Imho
