  1. Hi I am introducing myself I've been banded since Oct. 2011 and I have lost 19.6 pounds not a HUGE loss but I'll take it. Its better than what I was able to do on my own anyhow. I was thin as a child and started picking up weight in highschool. I really got heavy with my two pregnancy's and a few minor surgerys. However I weigh more now (even after losing some) than I did when I was 9 months pregnant with either of my boys. My dh loves me no matter what he's awesome but I need to do this for me. that is why I picked my tag name Tym4me (time for me). I have to do this for me so that I can continue to be their for them. My guys. My father died last Dec. 2010 at over 400 pounds and a smoker and all the complications that go with that. My sister instantly went in and had the Bypass done and is doing great. but that was scary to me and a little to invasive. So I went with the LapBand and so far I am very pleased. I am still learning how to use my new tool. I have the standard AP allergan with a max capacity of 10cc. I currently have 3cc in my band and i am scheduled to go in this fri. to see if I need another fill. I love the support and info. I see on this forum and I am looking to chime in. thanks

    Hows Everyone Doing?

Hi yes me too, I have been walking more than ever I feel good about it I can walk 3miles now without any real problems. I still get winded though going up the steep hill. An you have a good point I do need to work on measuring out my servings I eye ball them. Actually I want to take someones elses idea an buy a dessert plate to use for myself to help remind me. I am also historically a grazer I have been working really hard on that one, but since we are not supposed to chew gum this is a challenge for me. but i love checking in on the boards and talking to people who are going through this too, no one i know is so I really dont share with them what its like. thanks
  3. 5day pouch test is great. It really puts you back in touch with how it feels when we first get banded. Google it an it will pop right up. I went back to it for a bit an it really refocused me. Hope it works for you too

    Do I Need A Fill?

Well i wS banded on 10-07-11 and i have had 2 fills really bcuz my dr scheduled them. I have a total of 3cc in my 10cc banded. I have lost 19 lbs but more or less from the post op diet. I "feel" a slight restriction once in a great while. I can eat anything still nothing gets stuck ever im actually worried what that feels like. I can eat meat bread an such without a problem. I also have only had one PB after my second fill an nothing ever since. I guess i do need a fill after typing this all out
