I Need Support--thinking About Getting Lap Band Removed...
tym4me replied to kristik99's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Research is crucial. It keeps us from making split second decisions. As far as meat that xould very well be your restriction and maybe you just havent been listening. An "cheating" by eating slider foods. For me to eat meat it has to be moist too but i dont use sauces because most of them are empty cals. I baked chicken closed up in aluminum foil to keep it moist. Fish is pretty easy too. I hope you find out what works for you -
Vomiting...14 Days Post Op...need Advice
tym4me replied to jah110's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
U def. over did it. If u had surgery on 12/19 then u are still in your second week. Fluids only. No solids or meat. Sorry. Go back to fluids let your pouch heal. The blood could be from irritation from vomiting but if your worried then def call your dr. Hope you feel better soon -
Causes, incidence, and risk factors After you get chickenpox, the virus remains inactive (becomes dormant) in certain nerves in the body. Shingles occurs after the virus becomes active again in these nerves years later. You need plenty of rest fluids an ur medicine. I understand the sugar concern im a low carber too. But the amount wont be much an you WILL recover quicker taking it. Hope you feel better soon

De. Love ur quote its like mark twain. "if we do what we always did. Then we will get what we always got". Hmmm . Joel 92!!! Omg great job. See guys its all in our attitudes

Thanks 2b. I've lost now 20lbs. Im happy with that so far. Im going for another fill monday so that should help. I am actually a low carber now AND i count my cals. I try to stay between 800-1000 cals daily and get all my protein in. Somedays r easier than others but i keep trying. Im currently upping my workouts. But i try to "listen" to my tool. When i do that an log my food i do well.

Approval Seems A Bit Too Easy.
tym4me replied to tsteves1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
With my healrh ins. I had to do 6 months weight management 2 nutrition visits a phys visit and have a bmi of 40. What to do in this case is to always get it in writing. Call the ins. company ask for the specifications for this procedure and to send them to you. But be careful usually if its to good to be true it.... -

Yup me to. Banded on 10/07 i have had 2 fills an lost 20 lbs. I go in monday for another fill. I know as soon as we feel restriction this weight will just come right off. lets do this!
-
First of all congrats on the weight loss. By this point im sure u know the difference between hunger an head hunger but sometimes we get tired. I mean even with the band this is work! To lose weight. It is not the easy way out an sometimes we get tired. Refocus remember why you have gone through this. Maybe try the 5 day pouch test to get your pouch back talking to you. An yes go easy on the carbs. It a vicious cycle crave carbs an sugar not satisfied eat more carbs an sugar keep going your already doing great
-
No but i absolutely hope to!!! I have had 2 fills i go in for my third on monday and i am asking he up the amount alittle to. I have no idea what restriction feels like yet. Ive been in bandster hood three months now. I reLly want to get going with this. In reff. To the fillsmmy surgeon does not use an xray however he feels for the port an stablizes it on two sides with his fingers so he know exactly where to go. Its never hurt an hes never missed
