Thanks for that post. I sooo needed to hear it. I go for my second fill on wed and have been really thinking I made a mistake. The scale has NOT moved since my last appt a month ago and I am hungry all the TIME. I am thankful that I have not gained during this time but man I have had to fight like hell for it! I am sooo ready for the scale to start moving again.

I hear you with the one fill and being hungry. I figured it would be a few fills before I wasn't hungry between meals. Haven't thought about using a drug to not feel hungry - that is what the band should help us with once we get to the green zone - just Seriously ready to get there!! Had my surgery Dec 22 and first fill on Jan 25th. I didn't feel any different afterwards or at least for the first couple of weeks after. Finally this past weekend I felt a bit different and not nearly as hungry between meals - I think it had something to do with a cold front that went through. Now it has warmed up some and I am feeling hungry between meals again plus the scale has stopped moving!! I have lost a total of 40 lbs in about 8 weeks - I figure that aint bad....5 lbs a week. Plus I feel craploads better than before surgery!!! Next fill is scheduled for Feb 29th - can't wait to not feel hungry. Fight the fight.....and don't look back! I have kicked every pound in the a** as it left my a** and plan to NOT ever see them again!

Anynoe Have Bcbs Federal?
Texaslbgrl replied to Sunshyne068's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have BCBS Federal and was just banded 12/23/11. I started the process back in June and had to do 4 months monitored weight loss program, 2 nutrition consultations, 2 year history of obesity (one chart note from PCP for the previous 2 yrs with a BMI of >35, and a letter from PCP stating I had not smoked in 6 months or been treated for substance abuse in a year. Those were the insurance requirements......I also had to do EKG, a lung function test, blood work, a sleep study, and have a letter from my endocrinologist and adjustment of my insulin pump for surgery. BCBS took about 30 days to approve. I haven't seen any explanation of benefits yet...so I can't really speak for the hospita/anesthesia costs. Good Luck. -
Really Truly When Might I Expect To Be Back To Work
Texaslbgrl replied to JustDoIt130's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too have an office job like yours. I had surgery on a Thursday and was back at work on the following monday. I have 2 your children to take care of also (1 yr old and 3 yr old) - I didn't have time to just lay around...I had stuff to do!! Best of luck to you.
