Either way, you are doing it. The sleeve is a tool, but you are the real reason it's working. Don't dwell on this too much.

First Night Back To Work, Tonight. Im So Nervous.
laurelita commented on Soon to be me's blog entry in Soon to be me's Blog
My co-workers love to make fun that my clothes (mostly my pants) are ill fitting. I stick to dresses and skirts, but it's cold outside! I miss my ill fitting pants. I hope they encourage you and keep you on track, if not you have all of us! -
I definitely had this feeling when it came to my husband's surgery. I wanted him to hurry up and have it because I was tired of watching him eat all the wrong things and mass quantities of them. I wanted the surgery more for him. I knew I needed it, and I was ready. I think this feeling is just that. You're ready for the surgery. As for keeping yourself busy before, I love your list of things to do. The gym has been my favorite place to take care of myself post op and pre op. Before surgery that was the one last thing I wanted, that one last good workout before being sliced. It carried me through, but man, I'm back at it and going strong. Best of luck to you on your journey!

I have good days and bad days. I like to push it to the limit when I work out and I'm only 1 month out. If I push it a couple days in a row, that third day I'm exhausted. I went to bed one night this week at 6pm. My body needed the rest. I don't know if B-Vitamins are in your regime, but they really do help me with energy. I probably take 500-2000 mg throughout the day. You don't say what you're eating, but I eat mostly protein and that seems to sustain me/give me enough energy for my workouts of cardio/strength training. I hope this helps!

About To Walk Out The Door To Start My New Journey!

You're almost on the other side! Best of luck. Best advice I can provide is to walk as much as possible. It really did help get things moving, ease that gas pain, etc.Looking forward to your after! -
So close! Yay! I'd advise that you start the vitamins if you haven't already. The B-12 will help with energy/alertness.

Yay! Good luck and catch you on the other side!

Week 6-- Only 6 More Pounds To Onederland
laurelita commented on blackanese25's blog entry in blackanese25's Blog
I'm with you on earning every pound post op. I love working out now. I've started ab work but I listen to my body, if it hurts I stop. I usually only do 50-60 crunches 2x a week. My legs have been shrinking dramatically so its everything I can do to keep them. I want to be tone too, not jiggly. I've started strength training, nothing too crazy, but I love moving weight. Congrats on all your progress! -
I'm thinking this is more mind hunger than body hunger. It's a big change. I never feel hungry. My stomach never growls. Often I only eat once per day. I would focus on the fluid intake and this should get you over that hump.

The only time I feel sick is when I eat solids too fast. I too had surgery 12/27, so we're surgeversary buddies. The other day I was eating deli meat/cheese and it was right after a workout. I was starving. I ate too fast then felt nauseous. Yep, I lost my food. I've since learned to eat slower and this has helped me keep them down. What solids are you trying to consume?

How Many Calories Should I Be Taking In 4 Weeks Post Op?
laurelita commented on jabsimmons's blog entry in jabsimmons' Blog
Some days I only eat once a day. I'm just never hungry. On the days I work out, I'm sure to eat more, but I'm nowhere near 1k calories per day. You don't mention if you're working out, but my consistent workouts have led to consistent weight loss. I do cardio/strength training 3x a week.
