Please heed to what our fellow bandsters warn. All it takes is one slip of that needle to end up putting a pin hole in the tube that is attached to the port, to cause a leakage.

Made these Low-fat version Crab Cakes, and I have to say they are pretty good! Ingredients: 1 lb. Crabmeat (I used Louis Kemp) any kind of lump crabmeat will be fine 2 large eggs (beaten) 2 scallions (diced) 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped fine) 1/4 cup cocktail sauce 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/2 red pepper (diced fine) 1/2 cup Light Mayo 1 lemon, juiced (lemon juice will work just fine) 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning 1 tsp. tabasco sauce 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (I used whole wheat breadcrumbs instead) 3 tbs. cooking oil (I use canola) **if you don't have all the ingredients you can substitute** Directions: In medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the panko breadcrumbs and Cooking Oil. When all of the ingredients are combined, gently mix in panko crumbs. Form crab cake patties using 1/3-cup mixture per patty. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Place Cooking Oil in large, nonstick skillet, and brown patties over medium heat and sauté the patties until they are golden brown on each side. Serve warm. I have made cauliflower mashed taters before. Hubby really was confused when he saw it on the plate cause he thought it was the real deal. He said it was a pretty good alternative, but of course he still wants his 'real' taters, LOL -
B- I am a huge lover of crab cakes! Miss those huge hunks of Maryland crabcakes! mmm mmmm

Protein Shakes after Surgery
PattyGirl66 replied to bar2373's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are going to get at least a 100 different answers about this... Trial and error is how we learn what our bodies need for nurishment, to stay healthy, and to lose weight. In 'my' personal experience, I never drank Protein drinks, however I am not getting my recommended daily calories in and wanted to 'up' my protein. Through experimenting I found I needed the Protein Drink daily. I continue to lose steady with drinking a protein shake every day, it does NO harm what so ever to me, I am just about making my daily caloric quota and deff. getting in all the protein my body needs. There are protein shakes out there you can find that are only 110-160 calories, 1 gram fat, 4 grams of carbs, and 25 grams protein in each scoop. Walmart has a 2lb tub for only $19.99 (chocolate frosty), Its pretty tasty and very affordable. *** DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU*** -
