In Desperate Need Of Help, Support And Maybe A Smack On The Cheek
PattyGirl66 replied to allik07's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Alli, first off I want to say congratulations for keeping those 30lbs off that you lost, you should be proud just for that. Secondly, since you already addressed that you have not been a good lap bander you are already aware of what you are doing wrong. Go back to basics as you once did to lose that 30lbs. Track everything you eat, seriously this is going to be the key to success. You already know how many calories you should have a day? Make an appt to see your surgeon, as in when was the last time was you in their office? It may be time for a fill? If your surgeon provides a Nutritionist, make it a point to sit with him/her to discuss a meal plan that fits your needs. You are not alone in this, remember the reason you had surgery done in the first place. Wishing you all the best! -

Feeling Discouraged!
PattyGirl66 replied to suzannelturner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Suzanne, your weight loss is right on target! Excellent job! OMG, the things people say when they have absolutely NO clue to what they are talking about! MY goodness, -35 lbs is a lot of friggin' sticks of butter hon! ((hugs)) -
Hi Annie, every surgeon is different that is why it is imperitive you speak with yours about what you are and are not allowed to eat. We can all tell you what 'we' had during this period, and beleive me you will get 15 different replys. The only advice I can give you is to keep yourself hydrated and write down all the questions you need to ask your surgeon. Perhaps ask for a diet meal plan, one that you can follow. Best of luck and take care of yourself,

PattyGirl66 replied to Dobiegh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Big Girl Looking To Make A Change!
PattyGirl66 replied to LizzyWildflower's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Lizzy! First I want to start off by saying "YOU are sooo beautiful"! Sorry, its my Motherly instinct that comes out of me. Welcome to our 'second' home, you have come to the right place, a safe haven. We are all in the same boat and we can certaintly relate. This is a great site to find encouragement, support, motivation, and of course friendship. For starters,if you have not done it already that I have found super useful was to set up an appointment to attend a weight loss seminar. Honestly, right from that seminar is when I decided to have lapband. I got to talk to the surgeons and ask as many questions as I wanted. After it was over, I was given a very large brochure. You can also search about lapband and of course the best information is just by coming to this forum and reading. I can't stress that enough. I have learned so much on this site and you will too! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me Best of luck to you, -

PattyGirl66 replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Destynee, yes Maddy is correct in stating that it is wayyy to early for you to be worrying about weight loss, instead you should be worried about healing. Sorry you fell into this thread and you didn't have your 'start' surgery date posted on your ticker so we could of caught it. There are ton of pages to go through, and I only seem to skimp through them as I go along... This thread was created as an experiement in a weight loss stall to jump start ones metabolisim. For those who have been banded for a long time and has seen no weight loss results in months. (this is not for someone who has just been banded). Please follow your surgeons/nutrionist diet plan as you were given. Sorry, you got lost in the shuffle of this thread. Looking forward to hearing all about your weight loss journey as you go along, Keep in touch you are a doll!!! You have my email if ever you need to get in touch with me sweety... Let us know how your first follow up apt. went with the doctor! ((hugs)) -

Srewed Up Bad On Thanksgiving, Depressed!
PattyGirl66 replied to show1980's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Please I drank and entire bottle of wine to myself! and enjoyed every single last drop of it! I ate small slivers of everything I cooked and baked. Nothing compared to how I ate last year, OMG when I think about how I ate plates of food and big chunks of pies, ontop of booze. This was the first time I drank in 7 months. I had the nicest buzz on after spending half a week preparing for Thanksgiving with my family (I host every year), and believe me the wine came in handy, LOL Ontop of me Hosting, I did all the serving, and spent most of my entire day on my feet. I also spent 3 hours cleaning up when everyone left. I would deff say I burned some calories inbetween Its all in moderation, no reason to give up anything you love. We didn't get big in one day, or from eating tiny portions! Now, back on track today is a new day... Till Christmas of course -
