Donna, anything you can have in moderation is key. I don't deprive myself of anything. I also do not eat it every day. I do keep sucky candys around just in case, they are low in calories and sugar and you have to suck on them so they take longer. If I feel I don't have control I don't keep it in the house. Like Floridays, I also had my 30 year old daughter living with me and my 6 year old granddaughter in my tiny apartment. They have moved out now, but they were with me for half a year. Yes, I had all types of junk here for the grandbaby. I managed I just had to have very very strong will power and as CG says 'want power'. Tips: flavor you Water with fresh slices of fruit. I love putting slices of lemons, limes, and oranges in mine. (not all at once). LOL Freeze yogurts, they last longer. Buy a big box of ice pops. I buy the fresh fruit ones they are thin and only 70 calories but its all natural juices. I do not do sugar free because the sweetners make me sick. I track everything so I can keep my eye out on my carb intake. If you can eat sugar free food stock up on the jellos and puddings. They can save you from making poor choices. And of course, when in doubt drink that water that shoulf fill ya right up!

Okay I took pictures just for ya Donna! I also took measurements as well. Flat across it measures at 28" - Length all the way up to handle bars are 64". Hope this was helpful... Oh, BTW.. as you can see from the pics I have a very small apartment and I have room to exercise on this machine.

Hi Donna, I initially purchased this when I had problems with my hips. I have degenerative arthritis in my hips, my right hip is completely replaced and my left hip is going as well. Its just a matter of time before I have another hip replaced. ugh!! anyway, this machine is the best best ever on my joints. it keeps not only my old hip moving, but my new one as well. They said keeping the joints moving is the best thing for arthritis. I love this machine, believe me you feel like its doing nothing, but losing lots of inches don;t lie!! and my joints feel so much better! I will take a pic for you with my folded just for ya,.............

I swear by this machine! I am on it every single day. I also have 2lb weights I do upper body exercise too when I am finished on my gazelle edge. I have lost a lot of inches on my waist, hips, thighs, and legs doing the gazelle edge. The best part about this machine it folds for in the closet storage. This machine is sold out practically everywhere, I did find it on amazon in stock now : http://www.amazon.com/Gazelle-1285-Edge/dp/B0000AS7W2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356725743&sr=8-1&keywords=tony+little+gazelle+edge

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!
PattyGirl66 replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It boils down to this... WE all are not the same, our bodies are not built the same, we do NOT burn the same. The most important thing you can do for 'yourself' is LISTEN to your own bodies. What it wants, what it needs, what it craves, how it burns. Carbs in a nutshell is the reason we can agree why we all got to be this big in the first place. Some people need more to burn, some less. Its doesn't take a math genius to figure this out! I can sit down with a NUT and she/he can only 'try' and come up with a plan that 'might' work.. SEE they have NO clue how your body is going work on the plan they give you, it is really guessing, and a lot of it. That is why it is important again that you listen to your own bodies. For me its carbs. I specifically work on the carbs in my daily routine to what fits my needs. I don't carb cycle every single week. I do it occassionaly. However, I took the concept of carb cycling and worked it into my daily lifestyle. Does my surgeon know, YES,. Does it think its GREAT! YES, he wishes ALL his patients would listen to their own bodies and needs. I don't starve myself, I am eating better than I ever had before. I feel GREAT! that is key. I don't deprive myself on any foods. I eat like a normal person now without cutting out the foods I love. This is a lifestyle change, and eating foods shouldn't be a torture. What works for YOU is great, what works for YOU does NOT neccessarly mean it works for ME. There should be no reason in the world anyone should condemn the way we treat our bodies if something we are doing HEALTHY works. I don't see anyone on here who is doing this long term, I have NO clue what is the issue or problem. If you have a problem with this then I suggest you leave this topic alone for those who are interested. We should all learn to RESPECT others for whatever they choose to do with their own bodies. WE are NOT children and should not be treated as. WE respect your opinions, but honestly since this has been posted months ago the negative comments still come. I refuse and will NOT comment on any more posts about this. I have stated my last. I will carry on to do what works best for me. So if it makes you feel good to blog/comment on it, you do that..... -
Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!
PattyGirl66 replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have lost close to 20 carb cyclying and kept it off since I started. Including all the baking and cooking I did for the Holidays. I have tweaked the concept of carb cycling to fit into my every day lifestyle. I need a boost after this week so I am going to carb cycle for a week then go back to my normal daily eating but with set amount of carbs I have tweaked for myself that works for me. By January 1st I would have lost a considerable amount of weight not being even a full 6 months banded. With that said I couldn't thank Missy enough for being the first to experiment with carb cycling and sharing this with all of us. We have all learned a lot about our bodies and how it works, what makes it tick, and what we can do to boost our metabolism when it slows up. Nothing harmful about it, and our surgeons give us 2 thumbs up and couldn't be more pleased! -

Hi All! You know I love cooking/baking and developing new receipes for us to try. Well I made another hit tonight! Can we say YUMMMMO! Every Holiday I make a fattening version of this that my family requests, so I was in the mood for mushrooms tonight and came up with this. Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Ingredients: 6 small mushroom caps 1/3 cup of crabmeat (I use louis kemp) chunk or flake style (dice up into small pieces) 1/8 cup whole wheat plain bread crumbs 1 tbs. smart balance butter lite spread (or any lite butter spread) 1/8 cup shredded mozzarella (reserve a small amount for topping) 1 tbs grated parmasan cheese Directions: with a damp paper towel wipe down your mushrooms, remove stems and gently scoop middle (disgard stems). In a seperate bowl mix all the rest of the ingredients together. Fill mushroom caps, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top. Place your filled mushrooms into a non-stick lightly sprayed pan. (I used a non-stick cake pan) as seen in the picture. Place into a pre-heated oven (350 degrees) for about 15-17 minutes. Wala!!! Calories for all 6 Filled Mushrooms : 214 Fat: 9.5 Protein: 9.6 Carbs: 20.7 Fiber: 2.6 Enjoy! PS: you can get very creative with mushroom caps and stuff them with just about any of your favorite fillings......
