    8 Months Out

Congratulations on a stunning transformation!! Lookin' healthy and happy. You're going to be a hottie for the dating world. Congrats on your divorce. You sound like you want the divorce and it's a positive thing, and I have been divorced before so I know that getting one can be liberating. Wishing you all of the best!!
  2. Bless your heart. You went through a lot. It is very scary what happened to you. I just know you feel blessed to be alive and the only good that can come from it is you can be more grateful to be alive every day. God bless!

    For Those Who Love Soda...

I haven't had a diet soda after being pretty hooked for all of my adult life in a month and I don't miss it at all. I have been drinking Mio and crystal lite and I really like the Sobe waters that are zero calorie. I will probably never touch a soda again because I know how addicted I was. It would be like me picking up my cigarette habit again.
  4. Me love you long time

I Can Finally Take My Son To Baseball Practice

Awww that was so sweet! I am so happy for you and your son!! Bless his sweet little heart. And momma was there to play and cheer him on. Your son is so proud of you and that must be a non scale victory of epic proportions!

    My Texas Sleevers

Yo Texas peeps! No one is from killeen and the only person I met from here is at Ft. Hood and won't even talk to me for some reason. Whatevs! If anyone needs a text or emailing friend, I'm here.
  7. Congrats to you! I think you will feel much better without the hanging skin issues you currently face and will be on the road to a faster, more mobile you in the process. That has got to be very exciting!
  8. What a great detailed review! I really enjoyed reading it. It sounds like you had a phenomenal experience. So happy for you!

    Bk & Kfc.... Who Knew?

I am not going to try chicken or anything like that until about 6 weeks out. Right now the mashed potatoes and creamy soups are going down ok and I enjoy them but as for chicken, I know I couldn't hold it down. I do look forward to it though because chicken is great for protein.

    No Weight Loss Since Surgery

I really think the 30 lb drop is why it is stalling. You will break the stall. That is a large weight loss. Give this thing some time.

    Bk & Kfc.... Who Knew?

Yup I bought the KFC mashed potatoes and they are soooo good. I also bought a small cup of Chili's baked potato soup and mashed the potatoes in it and it was delicious.

I'm In Mexico- Dr. Garcia! :)

It might be different with a coordinator. I was going directly through him and had to send a bank wire and not a cc payment.
  14. Glad to hear you're doing well. I am wondering what they are going to do with the clinic. They really should make the lobby/ waiting area larger and add a few new patient rooms. Interesting! Did you get to see what he plans on doing?

On My Way To The Airport In San Diego

You will do fine! It can be a little weird or scary to go there if you've never been to Mexico or TJ. However, the van drivers are always with you and the hospital is clean and well-run. You will of course meet the others going with you in the morning at the airport before leaving. I actually made a few good friends that day! Friends I will talk to for a long time, I'm sure. I wish you all of the best and success! :-)

    5.5 Months Removed....

My goodness, what a touching story! God bless you and your inspirational sleeve journey. I hope you get to your goal weight and your goal degree. Best of luck and best wishes to you and your freed heart. I hope you feel like you can do anything you want to do now.
  17. Capt Derel, congrats on a successful sleeve! Glad your feeling better! I think the IV drove me crazier than the drain by far LOL. You and your wife have a safe flight home!
  18. Went and saw Chronicle with my hubby tonight. It started out slow, got really good, and we liked it. The ending could have been better though. Wasn't feeling that. Drank some water and realized that no one else in the theater had popcorn! How weird is that? Usually I smell it and it seemed like everyone at the movie had gotten the sleeve :-)

Omg I Love Getting Checked Out.

Hey Pasquini! Congratulations on your weight loss and on getting "checked out". I bet you are having more fun going out and maybe flirting. I was born in Lawton and my Uncle and Aunt still live there and a lot of other extended family. I love going there when I get a chance. I keep wanting to go back to the Indian casino. I hit a pretty good little jackpot there one time :-)

    Disappointed!

Hey there. Don't give up! I heard that many sleeve patients lose like another 10-15 % additional weight in the SECOND YEAR too! You still may be able to hit that 100 pound goal. I agree that working at McDonald's after having the sleeve is like an alcoholic working in a bar. I understand you can't quit. Try to eat something before work like some of the other people have said so you are full and not tempted to eat there. I don't even know anything I would eat at McDonald's except maybe the oatmeal and I'm not even sure i would eat that. Good luck girl!
  22. Watching old episodes of "Cheaters". Still cracks me up. I guess this is my guilty pleasure

It's Been A Year Since I Got My Sleeve

Your story was very interesting. I appreciate your honesty. I am glad to hear you have reached goal weight and even beyond and now. I'm glad you can eat more variety now, that makes me feel better. I am so new to this and hoping I can eat ok one day.

    A New Sleeve For Dooter

good luck dooter so happy for u
  25. Yup I am 12 days out and I refuse to step on the scale until around 1 month post op. I will only be weighing myself every once in a great while. The scale has caused me a lot of problems in the past when I didn't like what I saw. I am not going to do that this time
