Had my Band placed on the 4th. No real problems. Was sore, but not in what I would call pain. Stayed in hospital over night. Nurses had me up and walking. Started some Clear liquids (Water, broth and jello). Went down ok. Went home, been drinking lots of water. Also had coffee, and tomato Soup. Soup tasted real good. Have not had anything backup yet. I feel no hunger at all. Guess I stay on these liquids for another week or so then try something more substantial. Started this journey @ 361 pounds.. Just weighed a min ago. 325. I hope this keeps up. At this rate I will see my goal of 250 in less than a year. No gas problems noted. Just sore. Claude Allen Green Cove Springs Fl

Well had my banding done today. Started about 7:00, out at about 8:00. So far so good. My belly feels like I was shot with a canon ball (5 holes) but no gas or gas pains. Pretty sore though. Still in hospital (9PM)' just gof back from a mandintory walk (every two hours). I started ths adventure out 3 months ago. I weighed 361 at my 1st weigh in. Today pre surgery I was 333. Might just get to my goal of 250 pounds. Claude Allen green cove springs fl

Well, I go for it in the morning. Have to be at St Likes Hospital (now part of the St. Vincents Health Care System) at Jacksonville Fl at 0500 AM. Damn early for me! But at least surgeon should be nice and fresh! Hopefully, should go OK. Don't feel nervous yet but probably will at 0Dark30 when I head over to St Luke's. Wish me luck Claude Allen Green Cove Springs Fl.

I was told by my diet girl to get soy or whey protein isolate, not concentrate. I found soy isolate at SAMS. This stuff tastes really bad to me. Next time I was at the hospital, I asked if all these protein supplement’s tasted this bad. She said try the whey isolate. They actually sell this on line, called Bariatric Essentials. Got the chocolate version. This stuff is good. Taste like a thick milkshake, Downside, kind of expensive at $60 a bag (35 serving size).

After months of preop clearances ( sleep labs, Endoscopy, X-rays, psych analysis, and 6 weeks of Fat school that's what I called it anyway) I finally have a surgery date. Gonna do the deed on April 4th. Right now I am in the 2nd day of preop diet. This is not fun. Don.t believe I have ever eaten this little food in fifty years. Had an egg substitute omelet this morning, a Protein shake for lunch and a small batch of veggies and some tuna fish for supper. This sucks. The cat just walked by and I am thinking of cat BBQ. Instead I guess I will go indulge in another diet Jello. Surgery will look good after 14 days of this. Claude Allen, Green Cove Springs, Florida
