And doing awsome. My starting weight was 305 and my year anniversary I was 165. My goal was 155- 159. Here I am 8 months later and still 165-168 pounds. I feel like I eat like a normal person. If I want a cookie I eat a cookie. I still can't eat very much but I haven't had a hard time with any foods. It hasn't been hard for me to stay at this weight. I'm So happy I did this and sometimes I even forget I had it done. Totally worth it!!! Gonna try alittle harder to get the last off cause me and my husband are trying to get pregant so I wanna hit goal before that. ????

1 year and 8 months post op! ????
SpaceyCasey replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks. ???? I remember just starting out being terrified it would be so easy to put it back on and all the posts I read were "don't eat sugar " don't eat bread" or you will gain your weight back. Well I just wanted to let people know I can eat like a normal person and am just fine. Of coarse I don't over do it but I'm defently not living on a diet now. -
That happened to me last night after I ate ice cream. Makes me never want ice cream again though!!!

I've lost 140 pounds pretty much thought I was done losing. I had 20 more pounds till I was at goal. I started a colon cleanse because I heard it helped your body be more regular not necessarily thinking about weight loss and since I've started using it it I've lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks!!! I'm hoping this will help me get the last 14 off. I'm using the brand bowtrol if anybody else feels stuck like me give it a try!
-
I got the scale moving again!
SpaceyCasey replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It's called bowtrol and its a pill! I really like it, it hasn't caused any annoying side effects. I'm hoping this will help me get all the way to goal but I was estatic when the scale finally moved I was stalled for like 3 months. And I'm over a year so I just thought I was done! -

Oh it doesn't make you stay in the bathroom all day or give you cramps! -
Can't believe it's been a year already! Starting weight was 305 wearing a size 20 and I'm now 167 wearing a size 10. Total loss of 137 pounds!!!!! I'm 5'9 so I reached a normal bmi at 168. So happy I did this. How's everybody else doing?

I AM 82 LBS DOWN AND STILL LOOK THE SAME
SpaceyCasey replied to BewhoGodcreatedmetobe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was the same way starting at 305 and didn't notice a difference till about 220 ish. Now I'm 167 and I can notice every 5 pounds I lose. The smaller you get you will notice more its just getting all the bulk off first. -
How many calories do you eat a day for maintence?? I see a lot of people saying 1200 but thats what I eat now and I'm still trying to lose 10 pounds. I'm on my fitness pal and 1200 calories is what that tells me to eat to lose and it says like 2000 to maintain. That seems like a lot for us sleevers.
-
Question for people In maintence.
SpaceyCasey replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thanks for the advice I do lose (slowly) at 1200 calories but I do burn 400 calories on the elliptical almost every day. I am gonna slow down on working out so I will probably have to lower my calories to 1000 or under. -
Yay jan 30 is my one year sugervisary and I've lost 137 pounds so far. After months of being stalled at 170 I weighed in at 168 today which is in the normal category for my 5'9 height!! Can't remember the last time I was a normal bmi today is a victory!!! 8 more pounds till goal gonna work hard to try and get that off before my 1 year!!
-

SpaceyCasey replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I love the nsvs! This truly is the best thing I've done for myself! I remember this time last year just feeling so defeated by my weight and so so very scared to do this sugery! I'm so glad god gave me the strength to finally go through with it! It's crazy what a huge difference just a year makes! -
I had a huge nsv this week i hit the 170s!! havnt seen that for 10 years or so, so i decided to go shopping for new cloths. I exchanged one problem or another! Before I hated shopping because nothing fit and i felt fat to I liked everything and can't afforded all of it. . I'm wearing a size 10/12 and a medium shirt now. I did a little happy dance in the dressing room.

Lol I had to train my husband to stop jack rabbiting. Just make him slow down if it's hurting you!

That's insane I paid 8,000 with dr aceves in Mexico and couldn't be happier with that decision. -
I've been bouncing from 180 to 182 for a month now it's so frustrating because 160 is my goal and I havnt seen a 179 since high school. Ive lost 125 pounds so far i just don't know how to tell if it's just a long stall or is my body done losing?
-
Oh don't back out!! For me it wasn't that bad I was surprised at how fast and easy my healing process was, I was back at work in 7 days! I'm 9 months now and hardly even remember getting the sugery! Its the best thing I have ever done for myself.
