Has anybody had their surgery through lapbandLA? i went to one of their seminars and i have some appointments with them, but can anyone tell me what their experiance was like with lapband LA?

Hello everyone!(: I'm new to this website, but i've read loads of peoples stories and i find all of them helpful and/or inspiring!!(: I've been doing research on lapband for a while, and it's something i really want to get, i just attended a seminar this past tuesday. (first steps! yaaay! ) I have tricare prime and i wanted to know what you all think my chances of getting approved are?! I'm 18, I have a BMI of 42, i've been overweight since i was five, i have gallstones and i have to get my GB removed, i have other minor problems due to my weight also, I've tried multiple diets, and my doctor even sent me to a dietician for a while. Please let me know what you think my chances are, i'd be really greatful! Thank you! I hope everyone has A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!<3

i dnt think so, i think the ones with the billboards are 1800getthin, and they have their own website, but i hope lapbandla isn't affiliated with them because i've heard bad things about 1800getthin. umm, orange county? sorry, i'm new to cali. lol

My insurance finally kicked in, and i have my sleep study and heart appointment next week! And i'll hopefully have a nutrition and psych appointment set up by the end of this week! I'm so...anxious/nervous/excited. lol. Anyone have tips or pointers they could share with a newb? ^.^

Thanks for the tips!(: the group of surgeons i'm going with have a lady on their team that handles all the insurance stuff, she's also setting up the appointments i need before i can get the surgery, so hopefully i dnt have to worry about too much with the insurance part!
