How Much Cheese Do You Eat In A Day?

Being a vegetarian also I eat 4-5 oz a cheese a day, preferably with every meal. My favorite meal which I eat often is black beans with Colby cheese. There are also excellent crumbling Mexican cheeses that I prefer often. I also like paneer with spinach and low fat cottage cheese with mash potatoes. Since my surgery I cant stand Greek yogurt or my protein drinks, makes me gag. I am not allowed peanut butter until six months out. I also eat a lot of hummus and tofu.

    Post-Op Problems With Veggies?

I definitely think it is the vegs. I havent seen to many people on here have problems with eggs. But I agree you should try them individually. I personally cant do vegs without them being in a baby food jar. lol
  11. I have also heard of taking sugar free pudding and mixing protein powder in it. Personally, my sleeve doesnt tolerate sugar free anything. But I would be interested knowing how the yogurt taste. I am just afraid of vomiting, which seems to be a daily thing.
  12. My recommendation is to buy an item, try it and if your sleeve likes it then your good. After surgery I went and bought a lot of items that I had to return. I can no longer tolerate many things such as Protein drinks, yogurt or natural applesauce which I consider to be all to sweet. Everything has completely changed taste wise since preop. My focus everyday is fluids and then protein. So, to answer your question preop was Protein Drinks, sugar free popsicles, and broth and fresh vegs. Post op, sugar free choc milk, light cheese, bean Soup, refried Beans, eggbeaters and baby food vegs.
  13. no weight loss in two and half weeks, I am wondering if this is normal?

  14. slimming. It happened to me and I didnt like that feeling.
  15. milk, cheese, eggs, beans, tofu, fish... I cant stomach protein drinks either. My doctor allows me to drink milk with sugar free choc syrup five times a day.

    Water...tmi

glad you asked this question.. I dont urinate as frequently either.. our bodies are adjusting to so much
  18. I am 3 weeks post op and I am speaking from experience. Ten days after surgery I did end up back in the hosp. You need to sip, sip and sip. Popsicles, broth, crystal light are good beginners. I cant tolerate protein drinks. My doctor allows me to drink skim milk with sugar free choc in it. It is a pain to go back to the hosp. Good Luck
  19. First day back to work... and vomiting... does it ever end?

  20. You are doing a great job. You should consider you may be building muscle which does weigh more. Instead of focusing on the negative be positive about your weight loss. That is 28 lbs that you maynt have lost with the surgery. Good luck
  21. O my.. I had to sign a paper saying I wouldnt get pregnant for 18 months after surgery. I have to say congrats, but I am worried for you. You need to contact your doctor right away. Let us know what he said and good luck

    Start Of A Bad Morning

Thanks for your responses.. I had my surgery three weeks ago today. I cant do the liquid vitamins since they make me vomit 'JHope'. 'IowaAndy' I was in the hosp last week for dehydration. The doctor said the fluids they gave me in the hosp have ran their course and I am dehydrated again. Yesterday I posted I was having leg cramps today dizziness. I am going to try the Powerade Zero tonight. 'Dorrie' I did show signs of the dumping syndrome today, to much sugar, caused me vomiting. 'Unbanded', I am going to buy those types of vitamins tomorrow. "Kellyl' I was surprised too when they told me the dumping syndrome could happen in gastric sleeve patients also. It is all a learning process.
  23. This morning I woke up feeling dizzy. I walked to the kitchen and fainted. I immediately started drinking, two cups of milk and two cups of pedialyte. I proceeded to call the nurse who returned my phone call a little later. She said pedialyte has to much sugar and can cause the dumping syndrome. She asked about my vitamin intake. I have not been taking any vitamins because the chewables and liquid make me gag and throw up and the gummies dont have enough of the necessary nutrients. I didnt think I could take the whole tablets, however she did give me permission to start today. So I am back to liquids, basically the beginning again. I wish I could get the hang of this.

Would You Do It Again? Why Or Why Not?

I wouldnt say I regret it, but it is hard to adjust... the whole process. My focus nowadays is drinking and protein. Who has time for enjoying anything else. I havent even begin walking due to leg cramps. I havent lost any weight since the first week. I do like the restriction, even though my eyes want more. You should fully educate yourself. The beginning is the hardest. Good luck
  25. I too feel hungry pains when I am scheduled to eat. When I feed my belly it subsides. We are all different.
