<p>I have literally been dieting all of my life - my mom had to put me on a diet at 6 mos, even though I wasn't eating anything differently than my brother.</p>

<p>I starved myself for 25 years - took a Dexatrim in the morning with my vitamins and just didn't eat.&nbsp; My weight fluctuated up and down and eventually I was diagnosed with gallstones, which my internist said are commonly caused by yo-yo dieting.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>I've tried Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Atkins, and every fad diet in between.&nbsp; I've probably lost and gained the equivalent of 10 people in my lifetime and I hate it.&nbsp; I eat healthy most of the time (my mom was way ahead of her time and gave us good eating habits) and I don't mind exercising - I just need something to help me not eat so much.</p>

<p>Anyway, I talked to my doctor last week and she referred me to Dr. Babineau. I have sleep apnea, fatty liver disease and high cholesterol, so hopefully the fact that my BMI isn't 40 won't be a factor with the insurance company.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I'm excited about having lap band surgery and about getting control of my life back.</p>

<p>12/22/11:&nbsp; After reading some reviews here and talking to people, I decided not to go to Dr Babineau, but went to True Results - Richardson for my initial consult on 12/21/11.&nbsp; It went extremely well - everyone there was so friendly and supportive!&nbsp; My surgery date is 12/30/11 - Happy New Year!</p>
