Unfortunately sometimes is all about money for doctors and not your best interest, the procedures range in the same price but with the band the actually have to pay for the device with reduce his $$$ instead with the sleeve or gastric bypass is only an extra hour of his work big difference. As a sales person I always tried to fulfill my customers needs but I always suggest the higher price product so I can make a decent living at the end of the day is all about choice and only the best knowledgeable persons make the right ones. Post-data: I just Had my Lapband with gastric plication on Jan 4 and since my two weeks pre-op diet (start weight 265) till today (238) I have lost 27 pounds and i feel amazing. Good evening my Friends, This is going my first blog even thought I've been following this site site for a month already, Thank you for all your support. I had my surgery on January 4, everything went well i had a great experience not problems @ all. but since I left the hospital I have only been able to drink a couple of ounces at a time. i have no hungry but gases are killing me. gas X doesn't seen to work, walking or anything. i hope this get Better. please let me know your experience, I started this process on November 28 with my first seminar and 265 pounds ,star liquid diet on December 25 with 258 and after surgery on january 5 i had 243. thanks

Congratulation on your surgery, I will have the exact same procedure than you in two days so I'm exited. Dont worry about not lossing weight in a steady pace that happens and is normal, but you need to see the calorie intake with the muchis you are adding many more calories than on liquids, keep doing your good job.

Hi, I am a January 2012 Bandster!! scheduled for 1/4/2012 for my lap band with Gastric Plication. I so ready to do this, but in my two week liquid diet it been so hard speacially that my mind keep telling me to eat everything, I've been strong thanks God. The main reason for the the Low carb, low Protein and not Fat liquit diet iis for reduce the size of the liver and reduce the amount of fat we all have between organs. A friend of mine had her gastric bypass abroad and she had complication due to a huge liver with the doctor had to cut a piece of the liver in order to get her surgery done. now she has brown spots in in her face that make her unhappy. I've been doing the magic Soup, cabage soup. good luck
