Sorry, I Searched.. But Can Anyone Help?
EReuter replied to scorrea's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I bought eating well after weightless surgery by part Levine. They have it on amazon. Everything I've made from the book has been amazing and it gives you instructions on how to make the recipe for what ever stage your are in. -
I was really itchy too. My incisions got all iritated. My Dr said I had a reaction to the strips they use to cover the incisions. I took Benadryl and felt a lot better. I know its had but try not to scratch the more you do the more it will itch.

I'm a little over a week post op and my incisions are sooooo itchy. At first I thought it was because they were healing but now I think it's something else. Last night I woke up scratching, not a good thing. I feel like a kid with chicken pox. I'm thinking it might be an allergic reaction but I'm not sure. I havent taken a benadryl yet but I plan to as soon as I can. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions?

I'm Scared After Attending Pre-Op Support Group
EReuter replied to fitfrlife's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am being banded Feb 16. I also recently went to a support group, there must have been about 40-50 people there. All I heard was positive things about the lapband. I sat next to a women that was two years post-op and all she kept saying was "This is the best decision I've ever made. I wouldn't change it." You seem pretty set on your decision so don't let them sway you. If you have concerns talk with your dr. -
When you lose a lot of weight your hormones do get out crazy. I don't think you are alone. I have not been through this but I'm sure others have. I don't think couseling would be a bad idea maybe getting it all out and processing your feeling with a counselor might help. What does your husband think about all this?
