    Sabotaging Myself!

Don't shame yourself. Don't beat yourself up. You have acknowledged that you have some kind of problem like social anxiety or it could even be low self esteem. What ever the diagnosis you are doing something about it. Would the old you have called the psych? You are making great changes everyday! Be proud of every step forward that you take.

    Quick Question About Tattoos

I know the OP decided to wait, good thinking! If by chance the tattoo got infected it could delay your surgery. I was told no less then 2 weeks before surgery when I asked my clinic

    August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

My pre op diet started jan 17. I have a very strict diet. I have had to lose 10% ofmy weight to qualify for surgery. My diet is 1 cup of foods 3 times a day. So 3 cups of food per day Nothing fried, no eating out, no cheese, no bananas, no caffeine, only Water to drink. Can have 1 cup of skim milk per day. I have to keep a food journal to be checked at my monthly weigh ins. If you gain any weight during this time you are put on probation, gain any more and it's game over.
  8. I see you also found the August group. Not sure if someone is getting sleeved the 2nd or not but Welcome!

    I Hate Everybody

-Im so fat right now That's why you are having this surgery. You are doing something about your health, be proud that you are not sitting back doing nothing but complaining about it. -I just wish July 11th would hurry up and come It's coming! Get busy take on one more project at home you can finish before the surgery. Give your bathroom a make over, rearrange your living room, paint the guest room, go to a movie, volunteer somewhere, that will help kill some time -How will I make it through the Pre-op? One day at a time. Don't focus on how much longer you have to go, focus on how far you have come, it will be over before you know it. Seriously don't count down until at least the halfway point -Im so fat right now Me too -What if this surgery doesnt work for me? Don't sabotage yourself before you even start! Do you have a good plan in place that sets yourself up for success? Exercise plan is equally as important as food. -What if Im always going to be this size? Your not. Stop thinking like that. Seriously -How did I let it get to this point? Probably the same way as most of us did. By over eating, comfort eating, poor diet and lack of exercise. You can't change the past, it's already done. You can make the future better and you are taking steps to do that. It's ok to reflect on the past and learn from it but don't beat yourself up, move forward! -Im so fat right now Not for long! Woot woot! -I hope I wake up You will. Most people die from complications not on the table.
  11. Thank you for continuing to update! I really enjoy following your journey. I'm sure 100 is not that far off date wise. Maybe you can contact your doctor to see if they can give you something for your reflux. Sounds terrible! Hugs**

The Worst Decision I Ever Made

she started another thread and from the sounds of it shes doing better
  14. The Poster that started this thread wanted to know if it was possible to keep it a secret at work. They did not ask anyone what they thought about it, or anything else of the sorts. We must respect their decision and not offer our 2 cents when it was not ask for. If you have advice on how you were able to keep it a secret at work please post, if not ....

The Worst Decision I Ever Made

    Hope you are doing better!
  16. I think the vacation idea is a good one. If you want to avoid questions about what you are eating, eat alone. Other excuses are: not feeling well, sore tooth, broke your tooth and then pain from having dental work, fasting for blood tests, there's lots if you really need them but it might be easier to just leave at lunch and avoid questions. I'm not sure what you do for work but you can always say you hurt yourself (back, shoulder...) and can't lift. I'm not telling anyone either. I think it can be done with a few lies. I'm hoping nobody notices too soon after my surgery and then I will say I have changed my eating habits for my health which is true and then I won't have to lie. Hopefully you get some answers that help you out.

    August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

I'm hoping to lose 110-120lbs I have a very strict 6 month pre-op diet to follow, having my surgery in Red deer, Alberta, Canada My biggest fear is death of course. After that I'm worried about complications and not being able to change the way I eat for life. I'm always really good the first 3 months of a diet and then I slowly slip back into bad habits and my old ways.
  18. If you are only 5 weeks out you might still be in a stall. You will lose more! Don't give up
  19. Make sure you are getting lots of water and walk walk walk! It helps to get things moving
  20. You have to put it in you signature in your profile settings
  21. Just wondering if you can provide yourself with enough fuel to get through a marathon or even a half? I started running this year and I love it! Im hoping after surgery my times will improve but Im worried about the long distance runs
