I work full time and when I get home, we have dinner, play time and bed routine begins!!! Thanks in advance for sharing!! Sent from my iPad using VST -

Hello ladies!! I had my baby May 16, 2013!!! I've been consumed since she's been here!! Thank GOD we are finally sleeping through the nights now. She'll be 3 months tomorrow! I gained 12lbs during my pregnancy and I am breast feeding. I dropped 25lbs after having her. I didn't get an appetite until the last 3 months of pregnancy and it disappeared after having her. I was toooooo sleepy to eat. I'm 15 months post op and down 110lbs. It seems to be tapering off now, but I love this size!!! I went from 22/24 to 10/12 now. Baby and I are healthy!! This was 2 weeks post partum This is her a week ago Me about a month ago Best wishes ladies and congrats!!! Sent from my iPad using VST -
I see I didn't address your leak issue. I didn't have that problem, and majority of my YouTube family didn't experience it either. I think it boils down to the individual and the doctor, in my opinion.. Sent from my iPad using VST

I'm 1 year post op. about 75-80 % of my stomach was removed laparoscopically. Recovery was great! No gas pains. Was ready to return to work in 2 weeks but I took a month to learn my new eating habits. A year out, u can definitely eat more but I've become more conscious of what and how much I eat. I lost 95lbs in 5 mths, found out I was pregnant and due any day now. Gained only 12lbs, all belly!! I have no food restrictions, watermelon was hard at first but now no problems. Only have to take Calcium and a Multivitamin. Best decision I've ever made!! Good luck!! Sent from my iPad using VST

Vsg And Pregnancy-Losing Weight After Baby

Update: 2/1/13 Went in for a routine US check up today and tech found that my cervix was dilating. The membrane around my baby was "funneling" which could lead to labor. I am not in pain, hadn't felt any pain, the baby's heart rate is fine and she's still active. I DO NOT think that this is a result of me having the VSG ~ just always had female issues and the fact that my cervix was already thin may attribute to this. I will be in here until Sunday and will be placed on bed rest until l deliver. I am currently 23 weeks and 2 days and PRAY she stays put at least until 37/38 weeks. I believe I am In great hands to care for me but as a precaution I have been given steroids to help her lungs develop in the event she decides to come early. I had no idea, was feeling great. Thankful I had an appointment and they were able to react quickly. Will update soon. -

I'm 5 months as of yesterday and my pregnancy is moving along fine. Her weight is on track, still no complications or sickness. I actually wouldn't think I was pregnant if she didn't move!! She's becoming more active day by day! -

I will be 20 weeks this Wednesday ~ so far, everything has been GREAT!!! I felt my 1st real kicks at 18 weeks, flutters at week 14. No sickness or cravings to date. I can eat more, I just eat until I'm content, trying to eat my protein. I have definitely slipped into the caffeine pits of HELL!!!! Mountain Dew is my drug of choice and I know it's bad ~ I get real anxious if I don't have it. I am fluctuating between 185 and 190 since October (when I found out I was pregnant) ~ no significant changes however, I feel it's going to change soon. I am just beginning to show ( thought I would never get a belly) but now ~ my movements are slower, I got really tired from walking the mall 3 hours straight the other day. I can see a change in me!! I don't doubt my sleeve won't continue to do its job after I deliver. I PLAN (pray I make it) to breast feed to jump start the weight loss as well use that time to bond with my little one. Haven't quite figured out how I will incorporate the gym again, but my mom does live with us so I'm hoping she'll allow me to have an hour to myself to exercise and she watch the baby for me. I can't wait to hold my pumpkin!! Best wishes again to you all!!! -
Congrats to you!! I haven't had any morning sickness ~ I'm 18 weeks today ~ still not showing. My docs want me to eat 2000 calories a day and that's hard... But they say baby is healthy! I have the "official" anatomy scan tomorrow ~ hubby is still holding out hope for a little boy but doc is sure it's a girl! Hope the sickness gets better for you and congrats again!!

My period came on like clock work after the surgery. Prediabetes ~ I no longer take pills for it. "Buffalo hump" disappeared. Expecting a baby I was told I'd never conceive. Actual time, I can't remember but I'm only 7 months post op, 97lbs down. Sent from my iPad using VST

Sleeve Verses Rny - Friend Pleading That I Shouldn't Get Sleeve

My docs didn't submit papers until everything was complete. It took exactly 2 weeks to get my approval but I've heard others get quicker turn arounds! Best wishes!! -

Just doing a quick check in: I am now 14 weeks pregnant (3months) and my weight loss has slowed but I'm still losing. My last check in I was at 191 and I'm currently 186 ~ I consider that stable. I'm still not showing and haven't had any sickness or cravings. I STILL don't feel pregnant, but the ultrasounds definitely shows a little active one in there. I am beginning ton feel more gassy but my mom said those are little flutters that I cant distinguish yet. I found out at 12 weeks I was having a girl ~ my doc goes by the "nub theory" and has been 95% correct with his patients who choses to know early. I feel great, I mainly walk as my form of exercise now and do step aerobics once a week. My docs increased my caloric intake to 2000 which I have yet to meet unless I am totally wreckless with food choices. It ranges from 1100 to 1700 on good days when my pouch allows me to eat. I'll admit, I'm addicted to V8 splash (empty calories) ~ the diet brand is good but hard to find them in the small bottles. But so far, everything is going good. I believe if I hadn't gotten pregnant I would definitely be at goal by now (175) or surpassed it. I look forward to breast feeding but the horror stories scare me (split nipples, bleeding, etc....) Any successful breast feeders out there??

After All This What If It Doesn't Work......in Tears
vsg30815 replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I felt I was able to drink anywhere from 6-8 oz from the start! Exception to days 1-5, I wasn't hungry but forced myself to get liquids in. Mashed potatoes filled me quickly but Jello, sugar free pops I could eat all day. I had meat off pizza my second week. Baked salmon chewed really good (2.5 oz) I felt the resistance and pushed tooooooooo far ONCE!!! I knew my limits after that. I had a feeling of my chest being crushed. Only took me one time to learn though. I wanted to clear my plate but learned quickly eat until I'm comfy whether food is leftover or not. It still kills me I can't eat a whole burger but some is better than NONE. Thank you! Hang in there it gets better. When u get to mushiness, I would suggest you try Shelly's Baked Ricotta, reminds me of lasagna w/o the noodles. SAVED MY LIFE DURING THAT STAGE!!! Website is called The World According To Eggface. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using VST
