My biggest fear pre-lap band surgery is trusting the medical group who is going to perform my procedure. My friends and co-workers did not support my idea of going for lap-band because of the risks involved with the procedure. However, I was so determined and convinced myself that I should do it considering the medical conditions that I have....hypertension, borderline diabetes, torn meniscus without any known injury. I developed a good rapport with the surgeon and his team. I guess, I was lucky that the surgery center were staffed with compassionate and excellent nurses. So far. post-day #4, although still sore on the scope sites, I don't have any serious complications! Thank God.

Hi, everyone. I was banded 12-07-11 and my chest discomfort finally went away today. However, I still experience umbilical and port site pain which is worst with movement. I don't feel hungry at all but I've been trying to follow the post-op diet instructions. I've lost 16 pounds since I started the 2 week pre-op high protein diet. I'm feeling depressed though!
