A Week From Today!
ncstatebabe replied to ncstatebabe's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have BCBSNC. I didn't need a supervised medical diet but i did need proof of my weight, height and bmi for the last 5 years. my whole process took me less than two months and that's because i stayed on it and made sure everything was ok for insurance. good luck on your journey! -

Who Was Your Gastric Sleeve Surgeon
ncstatebabe replied to boredswfl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
This is who I'm thinking about having do my surgery. I have my consultation with him on 12/21. Is there anything I should know/do to help this process move along? Also, how long did your process take until you were sleeved? Thanks so much for any help you can give and good luck on your journey! -

How Long Did Your Process Take?!?
ncstatebabe posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey guys! I'm new to this site and was hoping that yall would share your journey with me. I went to my seminar on 12/7/11 and have my consultation with the surgeon on 12/21. I've already been to my doctor and got all the paper work I need for insurance but I want to be completely prepared when I go see the surgeon. I'm really anxious to have this done by late January or early February; am I crazy? Haha hope not but I look forward to reading yalls posts. Thanks! Blessings, Chelsea -
Unexpected Response From Co-worker
ncstatebabe replied to goldenraisin214's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Very true.. I tried telling my aunt and the first thing she said was "why don't you actually tryyyy for once." She even told me I should go to OA (over-eaters anonymous) and give them a try before having something this big. That's when I decided the only "family" support I really needed was my dad and my church family. Good luck to you! -

What has been the most shocking comment about the sleeve at any stage (pre-op, post-op) or about your weight loss?
ncstatebabe replied to Becca's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ha sounds like my dad. He told me if I tried to go overseas that I'd come back either in a box or missing half of my organs. Gotta love family; don't have to like them though -
Well yall, this is my first post and I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm so excited for this surgery and it can't happen fast enough. I went to my first seminar on 12/07/11 and decided that the gastric sleeve was for me. I have my initial consultation with the surgeon on 12/21/11 and I have no idea how long it will take after that. I'm hoping to have the surgery done by late January-February, but I'm not sure if this is even possible. Let me know how long yall's process took (insurance, appointments, surgery, etc.) and what I should expect. Thanks! Blessings, Chelsea <3
