I have saw a few posts that said the same thing. I have visited a few boards and the general consensus says to do atleast a 7 day liquid diet and clears 24 hours leading up to surgery. Why? It shrinks the fatty tissue in the liver plus no solids in your stomach make it easier for the stomach to heal, less gas after from residual decomposition, and it allows your stomach to focus on healing rather than multitasking. I dont want to be a buzzkill "which I usually am lol". Are you not scared to put to much pressure on your new staple line to cause a burst? I think since I studied improvised field survival and I know how to make an IV I will plug my arm before pushing my luck. Thats just my foresight. My surgery is on the 17th also. I went ahead and started my liquid diet today for the hell of it. Promasil from GNC is a lifesaver. I just started my liquid diet just to give me a head starton losing. I have my alarm set for every 2:30 minutes to get a serving in. 90 cal a serving and no carbs. Now as far as the clears. I have a case of chicken broth and a case of beef broth lol. Also I have an assortment of isopukes and Protein shots which is callogen protein which isnt of the highest grade but some is better than none right. Water inbetween I find is a must. I am excited and I know you are also. I just wanted to add all I am required to do Pre Op is 14 days liquids and of the 14 days the last 3 is clears only. Hence isopukes and protein shots. Now Post op I will know whick isopukes that I can handle and go from there. But thats why I have the broths to fall back on. I need to order me some unflavored Protein powder Just in case. I know powders can get expensive. Healthy = expensive in my book. But me losing my job over being fat = poor in my book Goodluck. Capt Derel (null)

LoL i hear you, promasil is what I have right now. I ordered 25lbs from www.trueprotein.com but I guarantee its better than anything you can find on the market besides Isopure. I used to hang around the bodybuilding crowd before I got fat. But anyways their Protein is unflavored plus they have lots of flavors you can add if you want. Just a hint (null)

Spring... My surgerys on the 17th of Feb and I am just hoping for fall or winter. Have you stocked up on your clear liquids, proteins, antacids, gasx, hibiclense, gauze pads and so on. If alone the recovery might be a good thing. But with a guest definitely has to be at Hotel Ticuan in a master suite for $95/night. Bubble bath jacuzzi parties with mexican prostitutes and party hats on my losing side party. Just kidding on the party but a nice thought. It depends really on your ability to deal with people. Wow i missed the part of how much gained. I focused on absorption rather than product vs weight. I can see you absorbing roughly 50-100 calories per application if your doing a large area. Absorptions possible but not to that extent. (null)

I agree mesaucedo. I have insurance but they denied me so I cussed them terribly 3 different occasions. I pay $180 bimonthly and they wont budge. So I called another insurance provider and asked them if I could get a plan that covered the surgery they said sure but you have to wait a year then you have to jump through hoops. Guess what. That guy got cussed at too but I strangled him over the phone. So I said to the hell with them, i will do self pay and when the doc messes up imma goto the emergency room for them to fix me and now the insurance has to pay for it. I am almost paid up to my deductible as we speak. Game on (null)

I don't think I am even going to try red meats until I am atleast 3 months out. I rarely eat them now because they make me sick. Yeah I work offshore where they try and feed you steak and potatoes 4 times a week. I am just burnt out on it lol But I have noticed on this board and others that meats are pretty rough. Please allow atleast 3 or 4 days to allow the full effect. If it doesnt work with you switch to the other one. Give it time. I stress On heartburn the most. My cure for that is bread. But now that I am about to cut my guts I know bread isnt something that I can revert back to. So I bought both and a ton of gasx strips. I wanna be prepared. Let me know which works best for you

Yeah I know....I know way to much Try an experiment #1. Next time weigh yourself before you bath then weigh yourself immediately after. 5lb difference in most occasions #2. Take a glass of faucet Water and place it on a table. Take a clorine test strip and test the h2o. Note the level. Take your fingers and place them inside the glass and swish them around for 2 minutes. Test water again. Note that all the clorines gone. The skins amazing. Gotta remember its our biggest organ
