2/6 Sleevers Check In
BluebonnetMagonlia replied to BluebonnetMagonlia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yes..the breath is awful...I have to continue to brush my teeth and keep the listerine strips close....I have my 8 day check up today and I got my staples out..Yeah!!!! I have noticed the when I get up in the morning my energy level is at 0%..I take my Multivitamin and drink some Protein and I start to get better...I tried some pureed food last night..NOT A GOOD THING!! and oh boy my dr was like oh no ma'am FULL LIQUIDS ONLY.....I am not drinking the Protein shakes right now because the preop diet just overwhelmed me with the shakes a day....I am drinking Isopure, Water, Popsicles, and Jello. My dr told me I can't start pureed food until Week 4. So I am still on liquids for now. I weighed in today at the dr and I was 221.5..10.7 lbs since surgery and 27.5 overall...But overall I am headed in the right direction.. My motivation jeans are still not where I want them to be..still a little snug...but I know its coming -

Day 7 Pre-Op liquid Diet Check-in...down 11.4 lbs...Hit the wall on yesterday :banghead: , but my husband kept me on track  . I can say this...If I don't have another shake for the rest of my life, it would still be too soon. LOL But loving the popsicles though! So far so good, still taking it one day at a time, I will admit I am having a strange craving for a cracker, that's right folks ONE cracker! Ha Ha Ha ....But besides that everything else is cool. Saturday I went to smoothie King and got a Protein shake..it was cool, just a chance to break up the flavors for me. So there is my update for all my Sleeve twins(2/6)...6 more days to the losers bench Operation Sexy 2012 in full effect!! -

I am day five into my liquid diet... I must say the Protein shakes save me... I am in a good place , day 1 was strange, not really hard I just had to keep my mental on point... But what gave me encouragement is on Wednesday I stood on the scale & was down 6lbs since Monday, so I stayed on track.... So I am a lil closer to my goal I will say I have been a praying lady.. It's really keeps me focus -

Pre-Op Diet Started... This Sucks! Any Advice?
BluebonnetMagonlia replied to ncstatebabe's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just started my pre-op diet today...and yes the Protein shakes really takes hunger edge off.... I have the bari essential chocolate and i add a couple of drops of vanilla flavor in so that it won't taste like air and it works I have had 2 cups of sugar free Jello and my 64 oz of Water along with the Protein Shakes and I am not pulling my hair out. :banghead: :incazzato: When i feel the hunger angst i drink my Protein shake and it works. :smile1: I take it one day at time, I am not even thinking about 2/6(my surgery date) I am focused on where I am right now. So I count today as Victorious! I made it, time for a shower and off to bed. :amen: I will check in with you tomorrow since we are surgery twins...One day at a time! Operation Sexy 2012 in full effect   -

BluebonnetMagonlia replied to Heather~ Sweetdreams's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello All I am sched for surgery 2/6 at Forest Park Medical with Dr. Kim... I am starting to feel a little anxious about the pre-op diet, I really don't know what I am going to eat(drink). I know Dr. Kim has some product at his office but I dont know if there are other options out there that are a little tastier...do i use Water or milk to mix my lil shakes...i have heard some folks don't even do the two week diet, as you can tell by my post, my brain is going a mile a minute, I know I must calm down... I know that is the right thing to do, but its now all become REAL!!! no longer waiting swinging my toes waiting for approval..lol lol -

Scared About Life After Surgery
BluebonnetMagonlia replied to Smithagkv's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been having anxiety myself, a lot of restless nights thinking about the procedure, recovery, and ultimately the lifestyle change. I have been going to the gym 2x wk just to try to work it into my routine and make apart of my life. I work from home and its so easy to turn the computer off and plop down on the couch, or solve the neverending mystery in my house "honey, what's for dinner". LOL But I talked to my sister and hubby and they were able to get me refocused on the ultimate goal, which is healthy living and "hopefully" helping with infertility. What helps me and visiting this site and all the wonderful youtube vidoes out there...It real encouraging. -

Waiting And Starting To Get A Little Anxious
BluebonnetMagonlia posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started my process in September 2011 Initial Consult w/Surgeon- 9/2/11 sleep Study - 9/12/11 Initial Consult with Dietician -9/26/11 Nutritional Classes 9/29, 10/20, 11/17 Nicotine Test 11/22/11 Finally(had issues with the psychologist) Psych Eval 12/14 Now, i am just sitting around waiting on the phone to ring...I have been going to the gym and trying to eat a little better, but I am just assuming because of the holidays is why I haven't heard anything. Trying not to get nervous, but I could be just anxious; I also have been a YouTube addict watching Sleeve journeys and i am still encouraged about the process, however i am hoping to get word. I am going tomorrow to try out some Protein shakes for my pre op diet. Anybody have any suggestions on good (if they even exists) Protein Shakes... 36 y/o Female 5ft 2in Starting Weight at initial consult 263 Current Weight 258 BMI 47.2 -
Should I Tell My Family I Want To Have Wls
BluebonnetMagonlia replied to Suzannesh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my family and friends, and I got some that were like "Whoo hoo, go ahead and do it, congratulations" and other were like " NO DON'T DO THAT!!!, there are complications, why don't you just exercise more and eat fresh fruits and veggies and the weight will come off" or like my grandmother said "just push your ass away from the table and you will lose weight" lol gotta love grandma! But my approach to those that were against it (my mother), were go look up the procedure and research it, if you have questions please ask and you just may help me ask questions that i may have forgotten and I will respect your opinion at all times, but this is a decision that I made and I am sticking to it...I just don't to show up 100lbs lighter and you think I am sick or something... Now my mother is making plans to come to Texas for my surgery and recovery, she has totally accepted it and supporting my decision. My grandmother on the other hand, still no dice, but she tells me everyday she loves me and will support me because she trusts my decision making This is a choice I made for my life and my health and I am happy and confident about it. Once your family and friends see your transformation all the previous issues will disappear -
