Well, I'm just saying we all have these tendencies. Not all of us and not all the time. I'm glad you've not been embittered to the whole gender! God Bless you in your time with this.

(Ok ladies don't throw rotten e-tomatoes at me but...) We women DO tend to be that way. Nothing gives a woman more pleasure than to see her friend gain a few pounds. (I just read that yesterday on someone else's thread.) It's too true. We are catty and jealous and spiteful. Especially when it comes to how we look compared to others. We can have a lot of trouble rejoicing in a friend's good times and victories. Most guys are like "Hey you look great! You've lost weight! Isn't my big belly awesome??" Us? Not so much. It really is HER problem. Turn it back on her. Ask her how she'd like to be treated and lavished with good wishes and compliments if she lost just 10 pounds. I guarantee she'd want a parade. I hope she comes around. YOU...are doing great!!

    Ticker Help Please...?

Also, when you make your ticker, I think there are two choices of code to put in. Maybe you got the wrong one? I dunno. I just poke around with these things until they work, and I never really figure out what I did...
  13. I'm 42 and I struggled with PCOS until I hit menopause at 40. (young for menopause, I know...) menopause renders pcos a non-issue. I had three babies before I got hit with pcos, then couldn't have any more. God allows these things for reasons we may not know until we meet Him. I think having this surgery now will allow you to do all the things you still want to do. You're still young. Go for it! I wasted more years than I should have fighting it. I was on 2000mg a day of Metformin. Did nothing for me. I dieted until i though I'd die and never lost an appreciable amount of weight. I've seen video accounts of women that have lost weight with the surgery and have gone on to have babies successfully. Go get your life back!

    Ticker Help Please...?

I have one, but I honestly don't remember how I did it, so here is what i read from someone else: "go up to your name in the upper right corner of the page and click on it - choose "my settings" on the left side you should have a signature tab. Click there and you'll paste it there"

  16. Aside from getting a leak, my main concern now is giving up coffee when I start liquids in 5 days! I don't have caffeine in my bloodstream, I have blood in my coffee stream.

  17. Wow! You need to have your eyes checked! Then look at those pics again! You look great

    Shout Out To Beth Moore

It's hard for us women sometimes, to just let go and feel truly happy for someone who has something we want. I tell you though, it feels good when you do it! There is a tall, beautiful woman in our church who used to be rail thin, and i noticed she had gained some over the last few years, (still beautiful though!) and i saw her Sunday looking very thin and I said "Julia! You are sooo thin!! You look beautiful!!" She went on to tell me what she'd been doing exercise-wise and such. And she was just beaming. It felt good to make her feel good. It's a matter of contentment with who we are and where God has us in life at the moment. Being content is a big issue. Not that we shouldn't always try to better ourselves, but we don't need to lash out at others because we're not there yet. "The world" doesn't understand that, so that type of behavior is to be expected from them. Just show 'em how it's suppose to be done! Heap the burning coals on their head with your love.
  19. It's good to hear some positive feedback on the whole thing. I was reading last night about jasleeve going through a leak and might spend 8 weeks in the hospital! I was sorta freaking out a little, because my surgery is February 13th, and I keep thinking I'm going to be the .01% that has problems. I'm just psyching myself out I think. I was on the ledge... I think I read WAY too much on here. I'm glad it's going so well for you!!

    Twonderland!

Woooow!! cool! Hey, you need to talk to the lady on here that was asking if her bmi is too high for the sleeve! Hers is 60 and wondering if she'd get good results. I wish I could remember her screen name....I think the post had something to do with "high bmi".... Good job!

Daaaaaang, that's harsh dude. I'm sorry that's happening to you. It's sad to see what people are really made of sometimes. From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. Just pour out love to him for his hatefulness and heap the burning coals on his head.
