    No Family Support

In fact....this surgery has MADE it possible for some to get pregnant who previously could not! They don't have to live in your body. You'll get plenty of support around here!

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....

That stinks! What was it for?? Breathing or what? I know they worry about people with apnea post op and want them breathing right. Did it have something to do with that?

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....

Most of the time the tube should be gone when you wake up.
  4. Praying for you Mater!! I'll meet y'all on the bench next week! We'll party down with some broth!

    Soda & Protein Bars

Many people on here successfully drink sodas. However--there is a risk of stretching your sleeve over time. I'm NOT NOT NOT willing to risk that for something as caustic as sodas that aren't good for your gut anyway, even though I adore them. It's the one thing my Dr. is asking his patients to give up permanently. I've got no problem with that! My two cents....
  6. I can't stand the thought of that kind of foreign object around my stomach, not to mention the whole 'port' issue. EEEw. No way. Creeps me out!! This forum just confirmed my dislike of the idea. Way too many problems.
  7. I don't know about you Mater, but I'm dyin' over here on just liquids. Day 8 was rough. Can't wait to chew something meaty. Encouraging Worm, thanks!

    Cool!! Good job!!
  9. Hmmm...That's all I've got. :/ HOping someone will weigh in soon for you...
  10. I'm yet to be sleeved (8 days!) but I think from reading so much on this forum, the first thing the experienced folks will ask you is...are you taking a PPI? The stomach acid is reported to mimic hunger after the surgery...

    Surgery On Monday!

Go to the Forums "Home" page and then go to the Pre-op threads and look at the very first one. It's a list of things you might need along with many others' input on what they have needed. Very helpful post. God Bless you on your way...
  14. So, what caused the blood clot? Did they remove the bad section of intestine?
  15. I SOOOOOOO long to hear those words come out of my mouth!!! I want food to be "eh" to me!! YES! YES! I want to not think about it, and not plan events around what the food is, or take a day trip and not be more concerned about the food than the time with my family. When I eat something I want really bad, I instantly regret eating it. I feel awful physically and spiritually. Once my stomach is full, my brain shuts off the want, so I'm hoping this surgery will hit the spot! Congrats Lisa! Celebrate your newfound mediocre feeling about food! (you other 2 as well) Oh happy day it will be.....
  16. I have a comast and a gmail. I referred me to myself.
  17. Classic New Mexico winter event: It's snowing, and the sun is shining just as bright at can be!!! Too weird, man.

  18. Have they eased up on you any?? Are you putting your foot down?
  19. I just ordered my 2 shakers for $6.93 shipped! I had to have one email send the coupon to my other email, but it worked out! Thanks for the tip!
  20. I LOVE YOU GUUYYYYYSSS!! (weep weep)
  21. Need to edit my last statement. Here is what I have on Agave from a trusted source: Agave syrup consists primarily of fructose and glucose. One source gives 92% fructose and 8% glucose, another gives 56% fructose and 20% glucose. These differences presumably reflect variation from one vendor of agave syrup to another. Due to its fructose content and the fact that the glycemic index only measures glucose levels, agave syrup is notable in that its glycemic index and glycemic load are lower than many other natural sweeteners on the market. However, the extremely high percentage of fructose (higher than that of high-fructose corn syrup) can be deleterious and can trigger fructose malabsorption, metabolic syndrome, hypertriglyceridemia, decreased glucose tolerance, hyperinsulinemia and accelerated uric acid formation. Low-carb diet advocate Dr. Michael Eades M.D. advises to "avoid it [Agave syrup] like death". Taken from Dan Jackowiak's website: yeastinfectionadvisor.com
