Truvia is safe. It's made from stevia. It's pretty good too. Might take some getting used to, but worth it. (straight stevia is pretty gross )

Just remember kids...any fruit or fruit juice that has been boiled or pasteurized is DEAD, and is PURE sugar! Fresh fruit is healthy and good!! The juicier the fruit, the better for you. And berries are the best. I bet you've got some CRAZY good watermelon in India!!!

Mommies Out There... Keeping Healthy Food Awareness With Your Kids
Dooter replied to Wheetsin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am amazed when I get my food- I weigh it on my little food scale- at how much 4 oz. can look like! I think it is actually a reasonable, healthy looking amount of food. Restaurants and t.v. and our ever growing appetites for....everything available to us now....have convinced us that we need to fill a large dinner plate to look like we're having an appropriate amount of food. I don't think your eating habits will, in any way, scar your child. I think it will impart self control. I have three sons, two of which are having some weight control issues, and I'm trying soooo hard not to put the trips on them that were put on me as a kid. They are a little older and they are boys, so they're not as concerned about body image, but they know why I'm eating this way, and I'm trying to encourage them to make healthier choices, eat slower, take smaller bites..etc. I just hope they're listening! -
Oooooooooohhhhh....can't help you sister. I loooooove watermelon! I think there are worse things you can eat. Fresh fruit is always healthy eaten on an empty stomach. It cleanses your cells. yummmmm

Encouragement Needed Please!
Dooter replied to Disney_Diva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The hard part is over. Just keep on drinking, keep on walking, keep on sucking on your little breathing toy they gave you...It will be a distant memory soon enough. And of course you feel hungry. Your stomach is empty, silly!!! Many people report the buyer's remorse. You will not feel that way when you start melting awaaaaayyyyyy........ -
Best Nsv Ever! I'm A Finalist!
Dooter replied to sasicas's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
COOL!! On the voting site, does your "place" have anything to do with how high up on the page your picture is? for a while it was at the top. It goes up and down. If it's at the top, does that mean you're winning? -

Very good, thorough answer from Wheetsin. I was going to mention the clearing of the digestive tract as well. I did not have quite the detailed explanation though. -

Thanks peeps!! -
Yeast infections that manifest on the outside of the body are often indicative of a larger problem with intestinal yeast. That stuff can be really bad and cause many health issues that you would never suspect being related. Check out this website at www.yeastinfectionadvisor.com . This helped me get over intestinal issues I had for YEARS! Probiotics are indeed a first step in helping the problem. You need some really high powered ones, however to be really effective. Take a cruise around the website and see what you think. The food he recommends eating is clean and healthy. It's a hard diet to follow, but well worth it.

WOW!! That's amazing! I've never heard of anything like it!! I'm so glad they found out what was going on. That's just crazy. -
Hey, I'm with ya! This is the ONLY place where I can go that people understand where I am and where I've been. I've never let a man other than my doc know my weight, but every guy on here knows! Weird, huh? It's a good feeling. I'm thankful too!!

I made egg salad in the blender with a little light mayo and dill relish, with some of the pickle juice for flow, and salt and pepper. I did the same with tuna and canned chicken. I had laughing cow light swiss with a little low fat peanut butter or 1/4 of an avocado. Low fat greek yogurt- very high in protein. Some well mashed refried beans with a little low fat cheese (this was in the book from my doc, really) also, some mashed potatoes with beef gravy that contain some blended beef in it. hmm...what else...... My book also has a recipe for "super milk pudding." I used SF, FF pudding made with 16 oz of 2% evaporated milk. That gives it a big protein kick. Very tasty. (I like the cook and serve, but you can use instant. OH, I also put a can of progresso soup in the blender with a scoop of unjury chicken broth flavored protein powder. That was pretty good too.
