Blood testing will also give an accurate diagnosis of menopause. Your FSH and LH will be consistently high because your brain is trying its hardest to get your ovaries to respond by throwing out more and more, to no avail. It is high during the right time of a normal cycle, so a couple of tests may be necessary, but it's worth it to know what, exactly is going on with your body.

Wow. I feel like a freak. I just turned 43 and I'm almost done with it!

9 Months- 100 Pounds! Woo Hoo! Had To Share (Brag, Whatever)

You're gonna blink-- and you'll be there!!! -
I thought I was done too. I went 11 months without one, then a couple months ago, there it was. But kinda light. I think it's just how menopause works. I've only had like....2...in the last 2 years, so it's winding down for sure. Surgery does not seem to have affected it at all. Once those hormone levels start moving toward menopause...that's it. It's coming.

Myfitnesspal Confusion
Dooter replied to OneWritersSoul's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ya, it told me i was starving to death every day for 9 months. I just began to ignore it. It doesn't know my surgeon told me to keep to 800 calories. And the projected weight thing? PAH!! It can't account for everyone's body oddities. -
Good point. I was just assuming it was low sugar, low cal, low carb, etc etc...

He Might Be The Best Ever!
Dooter replied to mezanne1401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is sooooo awesome!!! He's a keeper!! What a blessing. (my husband has a problem with a toenail...but other than that, i can't find anything wrong with him! Pretty close to perfect. ) -
with your current stomach you'd have to drink an awwwwful lot of protein for it to cause you to gain weight. And eat nothing but junk. It's got to be something else. Write down EVERYthing you are taking in and talk to your doc or nutritionist.

GOOD JOB!!! Awesome feeling!! It's hard to shed the old thinking. "Oh, I won't be able to fit in that chair or walk to the mail box, or...." Then you find it's NO sweat!! Woo Hoo!!

I'd do a lot more research before deciding to do a bypass. Too many public failures of the bypass. How many stars have we seen eat right through a bypass? I have a relative that used to weigh 400 lbs and got the bypass and got skinny, then turned around and gained it all back plus more. Stretched that puppy right out. From what I've learned, you can never stretch the sleeve to the size of your original stomach, or even close. Just sayin'... But yes. You need a doc that is FOR you.

Let's hope it's a quickly passing thing!

Mmmmmmm that looks REALLY good especially since I haven't eaten for two days. Strep stinks.

I bounce constantly. Once I hit a 'lowest weight' I declare it as my official weight, but then i'll almost immediately bounce up a pound or two or three. Then after a while i'll suddenly be lower than the lowest weight, and start all over again. It's never just down, down, down. Stress? I've lost through stress, but I've also jumped all over a chocolate bar through stress. (not recommended). I had to "make up for it' however. Just keep doing what you're doing, and you'll lose it!

Cant Wait For Skinny Good Sexin!
Dooter replied to michelleooo513's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That's awesome! It IS good, and I'm not even skinny yet!! 100 lbs makes a HUUUUGE difference. I can't wait for the next 100. I want full range of motion and flexibility back!! Go get it girl! -
Appetite Back... With A Vengeance!
Dooter replied to LawDiva312's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yes. I experienced this fairly quickly. I have to be VERY careful about what I allow to go into my mouth. Measuring and planning is a good defense to letting yourself get too hungry and then just eating whatever sounds good at the time. Stay full of protein. It fills you up quicker and stays with you longer. -
OOOOOHHHHHHHHH. Well that makes sense I guess. I just like the other ones better. I am now offended at the loss of the right to be entertained by my ticker!! hahahaha!!!

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
Dooter replied to nikki042's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
These are excellent thoughts to share with everyone. I think there are far too many people that dive into the sleeve looking for a magic pill and throw reality out the window and then say "WHAT HAPPENED??" No internal issues were dealt with, not enough questions were asked of the surgeon, and they do not fully understand the whole process. I'm glad you've shared this. That said- one thing you can do right now while you're getting your head straight- hit the gym at least FIVE days a week and do cardio for at LEAST 30 minutes at as high a level as you can. That will help peel some of it back off. -
I think the water was a mistake. Try to take the meds before you eat or wait 30 minutes after you've eaten. I've never slimed, but drinking too soon will make me feel really bad.

Do I Really Need To Have Someone Come With Me?
Dooter replied to does not matter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OOoooohhh.. I get it now. I thought you meant something they will do to your body will cause the recovery to be longer. I hadn't heard of that. I get it, I get it... -
From what I've read, the body is still doing it's thing for quite a while after you lose weight. Personally, I am going to wait 2 years AFTER I reach goal weight before I even consider plastics. Some skin can bounce back a bit (of course not all of it..), and I figure the less they have to do, the better.

Do I Really Need To Have Someone Come With Me?
Dooter replied to does not matter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm curious about the recovery times you mention. Why the 4 weeks and the 2 weeks?
