Did Anyone Self Pay In The Us?
Dooter replied to Izzybeff's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was self pay with Dr. Kim in Dallas. I don't regret a single penny. Cost was not the issue for me. I'm not rich, but i would have paid more if I had to. I wanted the best surgeon I could find within a certain radius. -
75% Of My Stomach Gone!
Dooter replied to SkinnyOnMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told 85% also. If they do not take enough of the stomach, then the stretchy part of the stomach will remain and can stretch back out again causing weight gain. They have to take out enough to get down to the non-stretchy part to keep good restriction. (I'm not very eloquent tonight, cheeeez!) -
2 Month (7 Weeks) Before And After
Dooter replied to God's Grace's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Awesome!!! Looking good!!! -
At three weeks, I stalled out for six.....long.....excruciating.....frustrating...nauseating weeks. I raised my calories and lowered my calories, I lifted weights harder every time, I did almost everything. Then I stripped out my carbs and quit lifting weight and just did cardio. BING!!! That totally kick started my loss. Now it's fairly steady. I'll lose 3-5 pounds then stop for a week or so then lose more. As long as I lose eventually, I'm happy! Maybe you will find the magic button to start it up again. Just keep shaking things up and it'll happen.

Depends on the cause of the gas. Post surgery gas from the cavity being filled with air for surgery--useless, since the air is not in the stomach. Eating foods that cause gas, and like you say- give you the gurgliness? yep. works pretty good.

Ya, I don't know what's up with that, but I've been like that since surgery too, which will be WAY nice here in New Mexico during the summer. I was normally so hot all the time, I never went out in the summer time. Rarely wore a jacket in the winter. I get my own private summers with menopause, and that has even calmed down! So...it's working for me.

STOP IT!! Don't make me drive up there and smack you! Seriously. It's all in God's hands. Sleeping is ok. My surgeon never once told me to not sleep to avoid blood clots. Unless you've had problems in the past, you will be fine as long as you are following all of your directions from your surgeon. If it's your time to go...there's NUTTIN you can do about it. That may or may not be a comfort to you. It is to me. Of course you must be responsible, but worrying and pacing only gets you tired. Go to sleep. Rest well.

Exhaustion Lasts How Long?
Dooter replied to kccgm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ya, give yourself a full two weeks of recuperation. No hard work, no heavy lifting. Get whomever you have to to help you do your daily "have to's." You had a big surgery. Get rested and do your walking as you are able. When the weight starts falling off, you will be energized by your burning fat stores. At least I have been. I think I felt better during surgery recovery than i've felt in years, simply because I STOPPED gaining weight! Give your self a mo mo to recover dear! -

Anyone On My Fitnesspal
Dooter replied to Brockcrawford's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I try for 800 cal/day. I always try to eat protein first to try to get to 80g/day. Don't always get there -
Oh yes. I stalled at three weeks and it lasted for SIX WEEKS! Yuck!! It was frustrating, but just keep doing all the right things and you will keep losing.

I couldn't reach my butt anymore to wipe it. I didn't go in a moment too soon. That's all I know. -
I Have Quite A Few 18-20 Blouses And Casual Shirts....

Hey, did my address go through? Sometimes there is a lag on the inbox messages of about a day sometimes :s -
This is like no other thing you've done before. I felt the same way, but it's easy to stay encouraged when your efforts are rewarded with loss. Just don't let the stalls get you down, because they will happen, but it's a normal part of the process. (If you hit any). Go get it!!

Awesome!!!

I've gone from D to C as well. At my goal weight, I think I will be a B cup, as that is what I was last time I weighed that much.
