Where in New Mexico are you guys?
-
You can get the bypass around here, but no one does the sleeve. I went to Dallas. I figured if i'm leaving New Mexico for surgery, and paying myself-- I'm getting the best. Dallas has a LOT of good surgeons that do the sleeve.

Anyone Regret Being Sleeved?
Dooter replied to Preacher's Wife's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Not a single regret 3 1/2 months and 62 pounds down. I did all my freaking out BEFORE surgery. It's been smooth sailing from there. Thank you Jesus!! -
AWWW man, I totally missed this post!! Hit that quote button so I'll see it! I'm still up for it whenever!

Bumping to the top-- they've gotta go!! -
Ok folks- I just posted a clothing grab on the clothing exchange area. If you need sizes 32 down to size 26, go over there. Whoever makes the first post on that thread, I'll send 'em the clothes. (There are only 2 size 32 blouses, but lots of 30s and 28s and 26) --danielle

Sounds like you're doing great!!

When you eat, do you get pressure behind your eyes, or a slight headache? That's how I started to know when I'm full. I've had trouble determining that too.

I get that too. Usually when I've eaten a couple bites too much. It's like my "full" sensor.

Hmmmm....,you need to find a girl who doesn't give a poo what you like and jumps on your lap and smothers you with kisses!!! Hahaha that could start to desensitize you to it! Make yourself some small "touch goals" and purposely seek to fulfill them and you may find your goals getting more brave as you go. (?)

1000-1400 Cal/day At 3 Months Post Op
Dooter replied to windycitymom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm also at 3 months out (ish) and I could EASILY put down 1200 calories in a day if I wanted to. I can digest ANYthing, and my capacity for non proteins is easily 8 oz. Maybe 4 oz for solid tuna or chicken. This scares me some days. My personal calorie threshold for weight loss seems to be 800 calories per day. Any more than that and I stall right away. At this point my doc also wants me to stay around 800 with 80 grams of protein. (that never happens, as I would never eat anything BUT protein...) Anyway.....there's that. -

It IS a great place and I feel like the men on here can identify with where I am more than any men I've known, which is why you all are the ONLY men who have ever been privy to my actual weight (besides a medical professional). Even my husband had NO clue as to how much I weighed until a few weeks ago. I just know that everyone on here, men and women, can relate to every feeling I have or have had about weight gain, weight loss, surgery, or anything to do with all of that. Anything we're going through, we can jump on here and find someone else that is going through it too. Very awesome.

You will be AMAZED at what your body can and will do. You will also be frustrated by it at times, so be prepared, but you will, overall, be going down, down, down! If you weigh every day (like I do, and also tell everyone NOT to...) you will see little bounces up and big bounces down. It is all normal. Enjoy the ride!

I'm so sorry you've had to endure such a horrible trial. I lost my grandfather to suicide in 1995, so I have a teeny glimpse of how hard that is to go through. I pray you heal from this wound quickly. Congratulations on your loss! I want a picture like yours with my old pants while looking all skinny-like in my new ones!! Or standing in one side of the old ones while holding the rest out to the side. I'm only 3 months out, so I can't answer any of your questions, but wanted to give my condolences and congratulations.
