When your weight bounces up, it is NOT fat you are gaining. It's physically impossible given what you are ingesting. It is water retention that will leave you. Promise. I weigh every day, and i can bank on a pattern of lose 1, gain 2, lose 3. Repeat ad nauseum. You get used to it. But the bottom line is......shrinking!

Since you put this all out there, I will give you my opinion. We all love giving our opinions, so here it is: I might suggest just lavishing him with attention and cooked dinners and maybe plan something fun? Or even a "date" right in your own bedroom! ;) Just make him feel special and loved and give your marriage great care right now, especially if things are getting cold and weird. Your husband should never feel like a roommate, no matter how long you've been married. Think of things to compliment him on. Make him feel needed/wanted/loved, and respected without thought of what you may get in return.

After you....get things moving.....for maintenance, what I do is have a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fiber one mixed into my low carb yogurt every morning. That kind of counteracts the high protein aspect of my diet. (But only after you're cleared to eat something that solid. It mushes up pretty good once it sits in the yogurt for a while...) I use Fiber One because it has the highest fiber with the lowest carbs and calories.

Scared To Leave A Lifetime Of Food Behind
Dooter replied to krystal24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got MAD at food!! I got the point that i was too physically limited to do many many things, and I blamed myself and stupid food!! I decided I was NOT going to be imprisoned by it ANY more!! "Go to Hell, unhealthy food!! I will NOT be enslaved by you any more!! I will control YOU!!" The sleeve has helped me do JUST that! I went into this in attack mode, not in wistful, oh I'll miss you mode. Get your GRRRRR face on and get some attitude!!! (I'm really not crazy...) -

Wt Loss Not What Expected! What Am I Doing Wrong?
Dooter replied to innerme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have just shocked the poo out of your system. Give your body time to figure things out and readjust and find a new "normal." I lost ZERO the first week after surgery, then very little the second. At three weeks I hit a SIX week stall. Then I started blasting right on through all of it. Everyone IS different, so do not compare your progress so much with others. If you are following your guidelines, it WILL work. It will happen. Don't freak out on us! Drink, drink, drink. It's hot out there! -
So sorry to hear this I hope kitty gets better and your surgery goes well.

Almost 4 Weeks Post Op-New Foods Lead To Trouble
Dooter replied to runaroundsue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey girl! (You KNEW I'd jump on this, didn't you?! LOL) When I was on blended stuff, I could sometimes easily put down 8 oz of certain things. Other times, if I had blended egg salad, I could only eat about 2 oz. It was weird. I seemed ravenously hungry, especially late at night. The more solid the food gets, and the more quality proteins you regularly ingest, the more satisfied you will be on less. Remember, Kellenberger says not to eat more than 1/2 cup of ANYthing at one time. (that one punched me in the gut when I went to see him a couple weeks ago. ) Also, don't forget it takes a while for the Grehlin hormone to get out of your system in the amounts it used to be. That will settle down and you won't feel like eating so much. -

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Go get 'em, everyone!!!! I'm really excited for you Patrick!! You're going to LOVE life!! -
I thought the sleeve was a little harder healing than gallbladder, but only because of the hernia repair I had that was quite painful, but really not THAT bad. I've also heard that C section is FAR FAR worse. It becomes a distant memory quite quickly.

I was cleared for one cup of regular coffee per day once I got home from the hospital. I USED to think it was all the coffee giving me reflux and acid problems. NOPE.. It was all the CRAP I was eating that was laden with sugar and fat and refined flour. Coffee was the LEAST of my stomach problems. Go for it dude. Just keep up on your Water intake

I've been eating sushi since 2 1/2 months out with no problem whatsoever. I only have the actual sushi rolls, not nigiri or sashimi (too big of a fish blob for me...) I can eat 5 to 7 pieces of one roll and that is WAY full. There is not enough rice in 5 pieces to worry about a carb overload, just make sure you can digest rice ok. There is no food so far that bothers me, so don't go by that. For a while there, we were having it a couple times a week, and I've been losing like crazy, so I say go for it when you are clear for digesting rice and fish!

WHOA. Ya, I'd say it's working!!
