*halloween*- Post Your Pics! (I Started Early Lol)
mesaucedo replied to Candace2314's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
This one is late! But I was two things: Amelia Earhart and A boss of mine from work! And I am holding my delicious trifle dish that I modified using sugar free ingredients. -
Fluffier Egg Whites? "real Cooks Please Help"
mesaucedo replied to moregoodtimes's topic in Soft (stage 3)
The other trick that many people don't follow is to let the bottoms cook before even touching them! Whisk, pour and let sit on low/medium heat for a bit until you see a nice little edge of solid white forming. Then quickly pull your spatula through and leave alone again. Egg whites are temperamental and can turn thick/watery if played with too much. -

Selling my size XL Zaggora hot pants! They are the flares. This is the website page: http://zaggora.com/flares/?setCurrencyId=1 They make you sweat like crazy but they were a bit too big for me -- they fit a 20 - 16. I just ordered a smaller pair for myself. I am willing to part with these for 50 bucks and 5 for shipping. Let me know if you are interested!

I stopped counting. I was becoming obsessive with it. I barely keep track of protein but know that I get in well over 80g a day.

Pain In Left Shoulder?
mesaucedo replied to Quianna Armstead's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
It is most likely the gas. But may be something else. I am about 6 months out and when I eat too quickly or drink too quickly (or too much) I get a strange pain in my left shoulder/collarbone area. It is very reminiscent of the gas pains I experienced after surgery. If you are still under a week out, I wouldn't worry too much about it being more than gas. If it is extremely painful or you are worried, just call. It never hurts to be cautious! -
Skin Tiightening Procedures? What Non Surgical Works?
mesaucedo replied to mommy794's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
It is also important to remember that things like: ethnicity, stretch marks and weight loss amount can all contribute to skin bouncing back. For instance, some on here have amazing looking skin on their tummies but they lost about 90 - 100 pounds while others that have 300+ to lose will most likely not have those results. Also, if you have a wreck of stretch marks (like me) it will be much harder for your skin to go back. -

mesaucedo replied to Butterfly02's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I just wanted to chime in, there are a few women on here that got pregnant very early out, 5 weeks - a few months, and were totally fine and had viable fetuses and normal pregnancies. -

I Need This And People Say I Dont?
mesaucedo replied to nicci1228's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think this reaction really has to do with people who see past your weight. A lot of my friends/coworkers assumed I was 180ish, so they were surprised. When I explained I was 260 and wore a tight size 20 they understood more. I am not saying you have to justify your surgery to anyone, ever. I just found that maybe our friendship clouded their view of me and they didn't see me as so "fat". -

Isn't that wall supposed to bring the competitors together? They help each other in the videos and say stuff like, "We were strangers and competing against each other but we helped each other over the wall, we became family... blah blah blah"

I pick one that not too many people support because of the carbs and sugar. I get a venti Iced Skinny Caramel Macchiato. It has 160 calories, 13 g Protein, 25 carbs and 22g sugar. It lasts me about 3 - 4 hours though and definitely helps me not gobble down ice cream at my part time job - I am a cake maker for Cold Stone.

Before surgery I dropped weight very quickly by eating about 700 calories and spinning 4 days a week. I also started becoming really good buds with the floor. I began fainting a ton and feeling super weak. I was fine for a month or two, but then it hit me and I felt like crud. I actually got super sick as well and my doc basically said that I messed with my body too much. I was burning 900 - 1000 calories in a spin sesh. Anywho, when you start spinning you NEED to up your calories. Remember to make up for whatever you burn. You will not gain weight from this because you are still under your bodies basic caloric needs to function.

I have a polar FT7 with the chest strap and I love it. I bought the cheapest color from Amazon and relied on reviews a ton. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U0OFDM/ref=wms_ohs_product They are also waterproof, so you can use it swimming/surfing etc. I find it so nice to see my improvement! Polar also now makes sports bras with the monitor built in! They are pricey but I want one lol

Whats On Your Bucket List?
mesaucedo replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great question! Things like this keep me motivated! 1) Do the Color Run 2) Do the Tough Mudder 3) Wear Shorts -- I have NEVER EVER worn shorts. EVER - not even as a kid. My mum didn't like that my thighs touched at the top! 4) Be able to endure the physical strain of volunteering in El Salvador this Summer! 5) Disappear for week into the woods of NorCal and not die from exhaustion of lugging my self around! I have tons more, I just can't seem to think of them! -
Not To Ask A Dumb Embarrasing Question But...
mesaucedo replied to bonbon85's topic in The Gals' Room
From a physical perspective, you will get smaller -- your vaginal canal will shrink but not enough to do that unless there was not enough lubrication. I would go to a gyno and get checked out! -
If you do a search you will find lots of different topics on bread. But to answer, not until 4 months out at least. It makes me extremely full and actually makes me kind of sick. It expands a ton in your stomach so I would definitely stay away until you are very far along and healed. Most don't even touch it until they are maintaining.

I eat pickles, corn and grapes and have since 4ish weeks out. No problems here at all!
-
Rice feels me up sooo much! I have had sushi twice now and each time I have only been able to eat 2 pieces over 20ish minutes. Last time I went it was with a fellow sleever. We must've looked ridiculous only eating 4 - 5 pieces of the two rolls we ordered! (She ate 3 but she is a year out)

Now I am wondering how bad my butt looks..... I love Gap jeans lol

On a side note: I'll see your Frito Lay job and raise you a Coldstone one Just got hired there for my 4th job a few weeks ago. Good thing Hamilton isn't happy with sugar.

So Can U Have It After Vsg...
mesaucedo replied to gelen's_change's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not be get too personal, but if you aren't Caucasian then you should already have some very minor minor problems with milk already. I am Latina and had small problems before surgery with straight milk, never really cheeses though. It just made me a little gassy. That hasn't changed since the sleeve. It hasn't gotten worse at all. For me though, sugar is tough on my sleeve. I still indulge every now and then but sometimes too much too quickly makes my stomach very upset. Some days some things don't sit well and then a few days later they will be fine. This is really normal in the beginning, but continues on later as well. -
Maybe she isn't one of the people that decided to go on a diet like some on here. I know plenty of successful sleevers who still eat candy, just not much, just like I know plenty of success stories from people who hardcore dieted after surgery. (or at least radically changed their diet to not include any "bad" food.)
