I had Surgery with Dr Ponce at a full service hospital and only paid $5300. I think it was during a promotion. To this day I stiil recieve follow up care and am doing excellent. I highly recommend him and his team. I had Trish as my coordinator since I went alone and was nervous about going to Mexico on my own. I was referred by a friend to Trish and feel I made the best decision of my life.

I went alone back in Nov with Dr Ponce and had Trish as my coordinator. Best decision of my life. Dr Ponce and his team are great. They still keep in touch with me till this day just to check my progress. I feel like I gained a friend with Trish she is a sweetheart. Good luck on your decision.

From my understanding Dr Ponce has just as much if not more experience as the main surgeons in Tijuana. The only difference is that his english is not as great but his team and Trish are there for you at all times. If you want your experience to be smooth sailing and a quik recovery I would choose Dr Ponce all over again and again and again. Good luck and God Bless your decision.

I also had a wonderful ecperience with Dr Ponce and Trish. She is an angel and I wish the best for her. I cant say enough about Dr Ponce and his team. Very experienced and professional. I can honestly say I made the best decision of my life.

I went to Dr Ponce De Leon excellent services. I was sleeved in Nov and am down 36 lbs. I am going to have to buy new clothes since my clothes are so baggy now. Good Luck and God bless.

I need some advice on the correct way to break the news to my physician that I was sleeved in Mexico. I have heard that when you tell them you were sleeved in Mexico they don't want to attend you. I don't anticipate any complications but you never know. Any advice would help thanks.

In my case I did tell my Mom. But if I had to do it over again I would not. You learn from your mistakes. If your parents are anything like my Mom. You will have Three months of negativity you do not need. Good luck and God Bless.

I went alone but never felt alone. The staff was wonderful and I had a coordinator that was on site. Good luck on your surgery

Thanks everyone for your advice. I have to weigh the pro's and con's and make my decision. The good thing is i am not having any problems and don't need to see my PCP at this moment. From my understanding I should go in for a check up in four months by that time I should have made my decision.

Congrats on your sleeve. I mixed the following in my blender - (mix really good - add ice last) 1 banana (only one inch of the banana) 1 TBS Crunchy Peanut Butter 2 oz Water 8 Ice Cubes 1 Packet unjury chocolate Splendor Try it and let me know what you think.

In my experience my mom was the only one that put doubts in my mind and if I had to do it over again I would not have told her. Now I am a changed man and I feel I made the best decision of my life. Good luck on your weight loss.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am doing great. Still on my mushies. I am walking allot trying different proteins to see which one I can stand for long periods of time. I did find some great recipes and just trying different ones I feel like my life has just started all over again and I love it.

Hello Everyone I am new to this forum and have been sleeved by Dr Ponce de leon. I did my research on Tijuana Doctor’s and found Dr Ponce as one of the best. I was sleeved on the 21st of November and I believe I made the best decision off my life. I had been struggling with my weight for years and felt it was time for a change. I wanted to just be able to spend more time with my kids and my family since every time I took them to the park I was always tired and was having trouble breathing and sleeping. I wish my family would have supported me a little more but I had to take matters into my own hands. When I told my Mom I was having surgery she was totally against it. She said I will end up with saggy skin and will look terrible. On the 21st of November I was picked up at the border station and taken to the florence Health System Hospital. I was greeted by Trish when I arrived she helped me fill out my paper work and took me to my room which was a private room with its own bathroom and shower. I’m not going to lie I was scared but after I spoke to Trish and Dr Ponce came to see me it calmed my nerves. Dr Ponce does not speak English too well but Trish was able to translate and the kindness in his eyes calmed my nerves. He said everything will be fine and here I am. I started at almost 300 pounds and am down to 275 already. I went alone but never felt alone there was always a nurse when I needed them and there was always an in house Doctor around the clock. I did my pre-opts and got ready for surgery. I was out in 45 minutes and when I came to I wanted to call my family to let them know I was fine but Trish had already beat me to the punch (what a nice lady). I was soar and had gas but that went away after I took a nap and took my pain meds. I was able to get out of bed and walk the hallways in one hour after surgery. I spent two days at the hospital and was taken to the Lucerna Hotel by Trish. Very nice hotel I wish I could have enjoyed the pool and the food. Trish took care of the cost for my broth. All in all I had a great experience and would highly recommend them.
