    Type 1 Diabetes

I ended up cutting my basals in half when I started my preop week of clears that was really helpful. My endo gave me "permission" to drop each basal by 10% if I was getting lows so I was able to resolve it pretty quickly. Glucose tabs as much as I hated them did the trick for me.

Wow! What a great A1c. That's fantastic. My goal is 30 carbs a day but I'm somewhere around 35-40 by the time its said and done. What kinds of things are you eating? I've clearly got some serious carb addiction issues because I stil crave them...

    Insulin Pumpers having VSG?

I admire your positive attitude. I do feel guilty about being frustrated at my loss so far since it is better. However, I would like to at least make my goal. Knowing that others have done this and I'm not the only one who has experienced the same thing is helpful. Makes me realize that it's not just me out there. Thanks.

    Insulin Pumpers having VSG?

I've posted all around so I'm sorry if it's a repeat, but I am a type one for about 20 years a pump for most of that. I had a VSG in December 2011 and have lost about 50 lbs. I'm feeling stuck. How many carbs are you all having a day? Did you lose more slowly after your first three months? Will I ever get rid of the next 100 lbs I need to???

    Slow losing due to diabetes?

I'm a type 1 for 20 years. Stalled at 50 lbs down almost a year out. So frustrated. Doc thinks it's due to my insulin and lake of a functioning pancreas which lowers ones metabolic rate. I followed all the rules for a long time and it didn't help. Just was so much work for such little gain IMHO. Nutritionist doesn't know what to do with me either...

Type One Insulin Depend Wanting The Sleeve

I was sleeved in December 2011. So far I've lost 50 lbs and am stuck. I've been a type 1 for 20 years and am on a pump. My A1c is getting better and my insulin requirements have gotten much less, but still I'm frustrated. Lows weren't relaly a problem, I just never bolused for the first 6 months. Rather be high and alive then low and puking.

    Type 1 Diabetes

I've been type 1 for 20 years. Had the sleeve in December last year. I seem stuck at around 50 lbs lost which is better than nothing but I'm really furstraed. I lost really fast and then I haven't lost anything in months.
  8. Susie, I'm having such a hard time losing weight. I'm almost a year out. Have your plateaued at all?
  9. Really hungry on day 1 on my sugar free clear liquid preop diet.
