  1. Seen your pics and congrats on the weight loss, keep it up.

  2. Happy 36th Birthday JustBrian!

  3. I also had the OptiFast 800 Protein shakes and powder soup mixes. The taste is not that bad and I'm not hungry afterward. I'm starting week 2 today. Remember to drink plenty of water.
  4. Ok so it's good to know that the hiccup pain is not just me. I was getting ready to go to the ER until I read this thread. Today, I'm a week post op and the gas in my core has subsided, but now I'm feeling gassy in my belly. I guess I will start the Gas-X treatment as it seems to work for everyone else here. Is this going to be a permanent thing (Needing Gas-X)? I'm also noticing pain when taking deep breaths and also pain with an uncomfortable reflex in my esophagus every now and then. It almost feels like indigestion but without the burn. I'm wondering how this is happening since I've only been drinking Protein shakes, Water and powdered Soups.
  5. 5 days post op and I'm down 2 pants sizes from a 50 to a 46. I'm still experiencing some discomfort in the band area and hiccups still hurt. I've been sticking to my diet a little too good and am feeling like i'm starving myself. Hunger pangs have become a normal feeling to me. I know I'm overdoing it but I think it's because I want it so bad. I'm still taking my vitamins and drinking my protien shakes and water. I've started eating babyfood for variety...

    My Lapband Surgery Journey

So, 3 days post op for me. Weight fluctuating between 335-340 lbs. Still walking to get this co2 out of my core. Still living off OptiFast. Not much of an appetite for food since week 2 of my liquid diet. Feeling a little different about food altogether. I'm thinking about going vegetarian after this. I most definitely will not go back to eating all the foods that made me this way. I know the days will continue to go by, I just feel like I want to fast forward to a year from now so I can see more results. I've lost 57 lbs since the beginning of my journey, 30 lbs in the past 2 weeks. Cant wait for my first fill.

  8. I took 2 percocet at 9 and I feel no pain or gas pressure right now!!!
  9. Thanks Elcee. I can feel it moving around. I've been walking all day. Doing random things to try and keep my mind off the pain. I'm picking up my pain killers in a few.
  10. I LOVE THIS SITE!!! So much support from so many sources. So many different perspectives. I guess we all have truly "Banded" together lol. Thanks everyone, for your helpful comments.
  11. Thanks Kelly. I couldn't sleep at all last night so I got on the treadmill for an hour at 4AM. I went to sleep about 7 and when I woke up, I felt a little less gassy.
  12. I was banded yesterday on 12/13/11 and after my surgery I have this horrible feeling of being bloated. The doctor explained that its the co2 gas they used during surgery to inflate my belly and that my body would absorb in within a day. Well, call me overanxious but it's the morning after and I didn't sleep a wink last night because of this gas. I've also developed a case of the hiccups that are quite painful. Any advice?
