Well, I think I've hit the "zone"....but there are days I just don't know. I can feel full one day and starving the next. I find on days I'm "starving" I can eat anything and the next day I can't even do a scrambled egg without getting the hiccups and feeling like I'm going to throw it up. Believe me, I've throw up things I've normally had been able to eat. I'll admit, I've had my downfalls in the last month...cheating, bad food choices or celebrating life's events a little too much. I've moved around the same 8 pounds...up, down, up, down...now down again. My last fill did bring me tight. I've thrown up more, had more hiccips, but I've also felt really good. I think I've enjoyed my time with my kids this month and in a week, I'm heading to the gym...into the pool (now that I've also had my hip replaced) and I can finally move...and move this weight off me. I don't think another fill will help me....I need to help me. Lisa Banded 12/10/2011 3 fills down 65 pounds lost (I guess I need one of those ticker things...)another 65 to go!

Today my daughter took me to Breakfast...I ended up eating just enough before the hiccups set in! 1 cup decaff coffee (yes with real cream and 1 sugar) two bites of a pancake (not that great...not a fan of pancakes anyway) 2 strips of bacon 1/2 cup of scrambled egg Lunch: one skinny vanilla iced coffee from Wendy's Snack/early dinner: mixed green salad with lite dressing, cucumber and yellow peppers 1/2 cup cottage cheese. I probably won't eat much later on tonight...it's hot here and we're going out to a show. (I'll try to behave and maybe I'll pick at something)

I received a new food processor for Christmas right after my banding. I run every veggie possible through it, then add spices, garlic and olive oil and roast big pans of mixed veggies. celery sweet potato (no white potato) green cabbage carrots onions peppers zuccini and yellow squash butternut squash plus I add green Beans cantenelli beans and more. Then I take slices from a store bought roasted chicken or turkey and puree it with a little broth. You can add as much liquid to make is soupy or chunky. Throw the veggies in, puree and it's a Protein veggie packed meal. If you like cream soups, just use half a can...plus use the light or no or low fat versions with fat-free milk.

I've found I can't really drink some wines...gives me the hiccups and heartburn! SkinnyGirl makes some great margarita mixes! I can't drink like I use to but do occasionally enjoy something... -
Lap Band Talk Newcomer
lapowers replied to Thenewme2011's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi...I'm Lisa and I'm taking the LAP Band journey. Had my surgery on December 1st and it's not even a week and I'm down 22 pounds! My main reason for the LAP, not only better health but to eventually have my hip replaced. I'm living a life of pain...well, lets say, I'm NOT living...this is not fun, no life at all with this much discomfort! Looking forward to checking in again! LIsa
