Having Trouble Swallowing (3.5 Weeks Post-Op)
twi replied to Greekie17's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sound like you have a tight restriction. That's the way I feel when I'm over full or tight. My tightness changes hourly. Sometimes I can eat one thing and it won't go down another. Make sure you tell your dr when go to get fill he may decide to wait a while. I felt just like you at puréed stage (could eat very little )and right after I got a fill. -
Congrats. Hope you love your band as much as I do. It's a life changer!

Tried and true foods. I still am very carful to eat extra slow which isn't hard when I eat out with friends we gab a lot.

I knw most people don't do this but when I vomit It's hard on stomach with dry heaving I got fill threes weeks or so a go and of course have been finding goods that don't agree with me anymore. So I've vomited once a week or so but with me as always nothing new here I vomit until dry heaving. The last time this happened a few days ago I noticed that hungry sooner and have decreased restriction. I also have slight pain on port side and port feels little higher than before. Any ideas? I already considered port flip but does that change restriction? Probably will make Appt just wanted thoughts. Has this happened to anyone else before?

I knw I'm very over but I never thought I could be with a man my wt Sooo ashamed to say that but it true. One thing I have to say is that I have had men I thought were ugly at first sight and their personality changed that and visa versa I have meet men I at first thought hot after getting to knw them I would look at them and see them as ugly. It actually changes how they look. Good luck hope you score a ten or two. Be safe. Ha.

I had my lb on dec 22 on jan 1 my co changed insurance I went in for first fill feb. my new insurance doesn't cover any bariatics so I have to self pay for fills at 200. A fill it's still worth it to me but I have to make sure to save for fills. Every insurance coverage is different it all depends on which coverage your co has my insurance is united health care and the do cover under some plans but not with the one my co choose Good luck. It's hard to check if the cover it prior to employment.

Everyone throws up some until they find out what foods to avoid. The food I could eat before fill changed after fill and it takes time to eliminate some foods from diet. You don't just bring food bad up because of over tight band I can chew a bite of lettuce until its juice and it's coming back up but I can eat a slice of pizza no problem? Weird but that's the band and everyone is different.

Everything Is Lining Up Perfectly...but Only One Hurdle Is Preventing Me To Go Forward (Help !!!)
twi replied to marketingdude's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with 54shriley. That is the key to keeping band in place the port too. You should check into cost of fills here my insurance changed at work right after my surgery and now I have to self pay for fills at 200 a pop I've heard. Some quote cheaper cost. If you choose a band that may need more fills and with out fills band doesn't work you need to knw how much the cost in your area for fills? Good luck. Go with your best gut feels. Ha. -
I don't understand? I had reflux before band I still take nexium Don't have problem unless I forget to take pill. Cannt you take any reflux mess?
