Wait...shouldn't Calories Per Day For Weight Loss Still Work The Same As Pre-Op?
SleeveDreamer replied to jewelwithin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not supposed to go over. 600-800 calories a day. To me also, 1,100 sounds like alot. Do you have a dietician in your doctor's office? -
Wow that is awesome. Keep up the good work. I am excited too about waering sleeveless and tank tops this summer! YAY for the sleeve!

Drinking While Eating
SleeveDreamer replied to bellabbr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was told 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. I understand the reason but it is very hard for me to get used to also. I want a drink right after I am done eating! But I don't! Will it always be like that or will that change several months out? -

"cheating" (A Concern)
SleeveDreamer replied to Indymom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel so lucky that my doctor has a great dietician for me to work with right in his office. It assures me that I will not be "jumping the gun" and eating someting I shouldn't be. I agree that you really need to follow your doctor's requirements and eat at the stages he recommends. It's true the first couple of months are boring but remember, we didn't gain all the weight in just a couple of months, and we are fortunate to be able to lose at a fast pace after the surgery. We certainly couldn't lose this fast on our own, so we have to weigh the good with the bad and appreciate that we are already much healthier than we have been in years, and that a month or so is nothing to contend with! -

WASA Crisp Breads (Reccomended !!! LOW CARBS!!!!)

Can you have these on soft food stage? I saw whole grain crackers on that list. -
Here is a great recipe for a side dish (or main dish if you are on smooth or mushy stage). It is very tasty and something different. i got it from my Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies. 2 cups canned sweet potatoes, drained (I used one 14.5 oz. can) 1 egg 1 TBSP brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup fat free or reduced fat cream cheese 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1/8 tsp ground cloves Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Spray baking dish with cooking spray. (Said to use 8 x 8 dish but this only yields four servings of 1/2 cup each, so I just used a small round ceramic baking dish from Home Goods). Place all ingredients in to a food processor and puree until well mixed. Pour the mixture into dish and bake for 20 minutes. YUMMY!

Sorry I forgot! Calories 140 (from fat 20), Fat 2 g (Saturated 1 g), Cholesterol 55mg, sodium 160 mg, carbs 27 g,(dietary Fiber 3 g) Protein 5 g, Sugar 7 g I was going to use Splenda brown sugar but didn't have any so that would definitely help with the sugar count.

I got some of the sandwich ready Star Kist albacore in the pouch and is pretty mushy and the whole thing is only 3 1/2 oz. so very convenient to take with you since doesn't' have to be refrigerated til after it's open. tastes great too!

I was sleeved on Dec. 14th and today (Jan. 16th) was the first day I have had a solid looking stool. My doctor said it takes awhile sometimes especially when you still have so much gas in your system.

I have never seen those. What brand and where from?

What did you put it on, bread? Are you in the pureed stage? Sounds great to me!
