I am surprised too since i read so many of you all have trouble with bread. I have never eaten anything my sleeve didn't tolerate. I had steak for the first time last night. I was a steak lover before. It tasted so good, but i chewed and chewed. i guess I never chewed my food before, just inhaled it! there were a couple peices i didn't swallow, but otherwise i had no problems. the same thing happens when i chew iceberg lettuce. I chew and chew and practically never swallow it. i have switched to romaine and I can chew that much better.

I did toast it each time. I guess it helps too that I can't drink for 1/2 hour after I eat. I don't really want that much bread, so I probably will have it once a day!

Last Minute Jitter - Will I Have To Eat Protein Shakes For The Rest Of My Life?
SleeveDreamer replied to windycitymom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 10 1/2 weeks out and my doctor just cleared me for any food. When you get cleared for regular foods, it's better to try to get your protein from food rather than protein drinks. I haven't used any protein drinks since 6 weeks, and then I was down to one 30gr Premier shake a day. It will depend on how many oz. of food you can get in without feeling too full whether you will need to keep using the drinks. I can have 8 oz. of food at one time, but I still can't get that in, but I eat so much protein (you need to eat your protein first at each meal) Remember though that the protein drinks are considered liquids and not food. You will be able to eat what everyone else eats, but of course smaller portions! Good luck! Don't worry about that now. Just take it a week at a time. You will do fine. -

I Think I Eat To Fast
SleeveDreamer replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 10 weeks out and I still feel like I eat too fast because I want the food to be over with, so I can drink quicker (since i have to wait 30 minutes)! Make sense? LOL! -

I Feel Like I Have Swallowed A Rock!
SleeveDreamer replied to BenisaMartim4's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I don't know what your instructions say, but stage 2 in my opinion would be full liquids, and then pureed mushies. I certainly wouldn't be eating eaggs at this point. My sleeve loves eggs, but I didn't start eating them til Soft Foods and that was after pureed mushies. Hope you feel better! -
I am craving popcorn too, but I'm afraid it will get stuck. I was sleeved on December 14th and have lost 34 lbs. that came off so easy and I am scared I won't get to my goal. i only have 20-25 lbs. to go!
