SleeveDreamer replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Irene, what an opportunity thrown right in front of you! I will keep you in my prayers and hope this will work out for you. The Lord works in mysterious ways sometimes. You have definirtely gained enough confidence in yourself to come right out and say what you did, and that is a huge plus! i am so happy you have this chance. This NSV would be the icing on your cake! LOL! -
A Little Bummed Out
SleeveDreamer replied to POOHBEAR7699's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone goes through stalls, so don't let them get you down. You will continue to lose, you are not eating enough not to. How many calories did you increase to? My doctor told me until I get to my goal, stay under 1,000. I am almost 4 months out and can't even get near 800 a day! In my case,I seem to lose more without stalling when I don't log my food on MFP! Good luck! -
Sorry that happened:(

Apply on their website and approvel is instant.

CareCredit is great. It goes through GE Capital. I applied on line and put in the amount i wanted and hit submit, and immediately came back with my approval code and account number. Since my doctor was not offering any type of a promotion, careCredit gave me 6 month with no interest. No penalty if paid off early.

Staples? Drain Removal?
SleeveDreamer replied to emelia.larock's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't even know he removed my drain until he held it up and showed me. I never had staples removed. I don't understand how you cold have staples removed if they are in your stomach, unless some may have staples around their drain? -

Does Anyone Have Any Regrets?
SleeveDreamer replied to betterthanbefore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I would have known about it sooner and done it sooner! Don't think of it as a diet and not being able to eat. It is a change in eating habits, and you will be able to eat, but just not gorge like you may have done before. But you will need to go through the stages and work to eating regular foods again. I am almost 4 months out and my sleeve will tolerate any food. I don't crave things like I did before, and I don't have a taste for alot of things I lived before, but I don't miss them because I love feeling good each day about myself, and love seeing my pants literally fall off, so it makes it all worthwhile! -
Scared I Will Gain If I Eat.
SleeveDreamer replied to Angela Johnson's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have had 85% of your stomach cutoff. There is no way ou can gain weight with our restrictions right now. If you don't eat, you will put your body in starvation mode, and that is not healhty. I overate like crazy before, and now I am almost 4 months out and can't even eat over 6 oz. at a time. Don't worry about down the road right now. Just take it day by da, and when you feel full, stop eating. -

No Drinking With Food .... Why?
SleeveDreamer replied to Cherrybomb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is because ur fluids will go through and empty the food out of your stomach quicker, and you will not get the nuthrients and protein will not be absorbed. -

Help With Preparing Meals Post Op.
SleeveDreamer replied to mommyinneed's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't forget that sf jello and sf popsicles are on your liquid diet. Don't stock up on alot, because our taste buds will change, and you might not like something ou loved before! Blended lentil soup, and cottage cheese were my faves on pureed foods. You should go to full liquids before pureed, and then after pureed! soft foods, but that won't be right away? My doctor skipped full iquids for me and I went right from clear liquids to pureed. You will need to see how you progress before you know when you can move on. However, I wuld get some RTD protein drinks and keep them on hand. The best ones RTD are from Costco and they are Premier with 30g of protein per container. Good luck. Just take it day by day and don't worry about planning too far in advance. -
Wow I have discovered a magical way that broke my stall! I have a tall Starbuck's Skinny Vanilla Latte (90 cal) each morning, and it seems to be an instant laxative and tastes good too! Ever since I started this, I have been losing regularly! It's MAGIC! LOL!

Want To Break Your Stall?
SleeveDreamer replied to SleeveDreamer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes it is a coffee drink but I don't really taste the coffee in it and I am really not a coffee drinker either. See if they will give you a free little taste cup. Nonfat milk and sugar-free vanilla syrup. -
How Nauseas Were You The First 2 Weeks?
SleeveDreamer replied to AngieG0410's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know why your doctor would say that. I never had any nausea at all. Your doctor can give you something for it anyway even if you don't have it that prevents it. Some may have it as a reaction to anesthetic. i think it's strage that he said you would have it, and wonder what he is basing it on. -

I can't ever knid the right kind of lettuce to do lettuce wraps. What kind do you get? -
. Peacequeen didn't you have a TPN too? My doctor told me that the weight loss would definitley be slower since the fluids from the tpn could be in your system for up to 6 months sometimes.

I Am 5 Weeks Post Op And Suddenly Feel Like I Have Something Stuck In My Throat. Help!
SleeveDreamer replied to dodiefrisby's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think 5 weeks post op is not the right time to be eating cucumbers. I wasn't on stuff like that until 8 weeks. Try softer foods for a couple days. Has your doctor moved you to regular food already? that seems awfully soon to me. your sleeve needs time to heal, and it probably can't handle stuff like that yet, so you have a stuck feeling. Do you have the slimes too with it? Do you have a nutritionist or dietician, and were you given an eating plan? Please don't try to rush your eating. Your time will come when you can eat anything, but 5 weeks is too soon. -
