hey Diva! You changed your screen name! Your bod is looking awesome! You are truly an inspiration. -
I forgot to mention that on the soft food stage, I started buying the pouches of StarKist Sandwich Ready albacore tuna. It is mixed with a little mayo and very tiny diced celery. It is so good. The puch is only 3 oz. You don't need to refrigerate it until it is open, but by that time you have already eaten it all! LOL!

My doctor allowed me thinly sliced turkey deli meat at the soft stage. JUST CHEW VERY WELL! My fave lunch even now at 5 months is turkey meat, 1/2 slice muenster cheese and bread n butter stacker pickle slice rolled up with a little mustard. Somtimes I put it on Wasa crackers and broil just until the cheese melts (do the same with tuna).. I guess after the sleeve, you really get creative!

Memorial Day Challenge!
SleeveDreamer replied to Forensikchic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am in kind of a stall too. Just had protein and nothing else but MIO water yesterday. No carbs today either. Just protein and MIO water! I have my monthly follow up the 29th so I need to go up and do my treadmill! Since I am Italian, I crave carbs, but I don't have a taste really for bread anymore or potatoes or sweets Thank God! For some reason since being sleeved I crave peanut butter on brown rice cakes instead of popcorn which I ate everyday before my sleeve and haven't had any since! Good luck everyone!! -
The most important thing is to sip all day and get as many liquids as possible so you won't get dehydrated. You should be taking vitamins anyway, I used the RTD Premier Portein drinks from costco. I personally could not stand the powdered ones of any kind or flavor. I am 5 moths out and still drink one protein drink every afternoon for a snack.

Wondering About Other Eating Habits Post Sleeve
SleeveDreamer replied to yecats's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 5 months out last week. I can eat anything I want and my sleeve like it. At first, when I was able to eat regular foods, I kept track on MyFitnessPal, but I do not do that anymore, simply because I want to think of my new eating habits as a lifestyle change and not a diet. I actually lose more quickly when I don't keep track and chart everything. I eat anything I want, but like Lissa, I don't want bread or potatoes or pasta anymore. I am Italian and have always crave carbs, but when i do I have a brown rice cake or Wasa cracker with a little peanut butter and it satisfies me. I was a popcorn freak before surgery, but haven't had any since, and even have a huge box of Smart Pop I have never even opened. I eat my proetin first and try to stick to 4 oz. per meal of protein. Then I usually don't want much more, but eat some green veggies and have a couple spoonfuls of it. My doctor told me not to go over 8 oz. I am limited to 800-900 calories per day until I reach my goal, and I really can't even get that high. For breakfast I usually have a Jimmy dean turkey sausage link, an egg, some red grapefruit sections (jarred), and maybe a spoon of cottage cheese but not always. I never measure my food and never have. I just eyeball it. I have a skinny tall vanilla latte from Starbucks as many mornings as I can. great laxative for me! keeps me regular. I have lost 44 lbs. in 5 months and I am only 9 lbs. away of his goal for me and only 15 lbs. away from my own goal. 44 lbs. may not sound like alot in 5 months, but I am consistent, when i have my monthly visit I lose about 8-9 lbs. per month which he says is good. I joined a gym and am working on my arms. I am taking a water aerobics class in July. I have a treadmill and do a workout the doctor suggested I do. I have gone from a size 18 jeans to a size 8. I also have kidney stones so I drink alot of water all day, but since my sleeve I cannot stand the taste of plain water, so I flavor it with strawberry watermelon Mio. I LUV my sleeve and feel so much better. -

Different Protein Drink Question...
SleeveDreamer replied to Dizzle's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
The Premier Protein shakes (RTD) are the best in my opinion. They are 30g protein each. i could not stand any of the powdered ones. -

5 Months Before And After Pics
SleeveDreamer posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really don't have alot of before pics cuz I hated the way I looked. This one was taken around the first of December 2011. I weighed 192 and was in a size 16 pants (but should have been in an 18) and I even had a FLEXEES on in this. All of my weight was in my abdomen. (Don't worry i wore a red cardigan over this gross mess). The after was taken a couple days ago (I will be 5 months out this Monday the 14th). I now weigh 147 and am in a size 8 pants, almost in a 6). I am only 9 lbs. away from my doctos goal and average aroround 8 lb. loss a month which he says is good. My surgery was December 14, 2011. I LOVE MY SLEEVE! -

Good luck to you Finding Myself! -
Don't look for the regrets! Think of it as the best thing you will do for yourself. My only regret is not having it done sooner. I am almost 5 months out and have gone from a size 18 jeans to an 8! I feel better than I have in years. Think positive.

I Want Starbucks! Help

What Keurig flavor did you get? -
Today I went to my doctor for my monthly follow up. He walked in and said "Hey skinny!' Then he said i have lost 9 pounds since my last appt. last month and my % of body fat has gone from 52% to 36%. He asked me how many pant sizes I have gone down and I said from an 18 to an 8, and he said well don't by anymore 8's because you will be in a 6 soon! He said that I only have 11 more pounds to go until I am at his goal for me. Then he told me that I have lost more weight each month than any other of his sleeve patients monthly follow ups! Boy did I feel good when I left there, so I stopped on the way home and went clothes shopping! (But no pants just tops). LOL!

I am going to buy some instant coffee tomorrow and try this! -
I am like Lissa in the way that if I get a salad, I eat mall the other stuff on top before I eat the lettuce. But then I will eat a little of the lettuce. I have no problems with any salads. hey are a slider food for me. I found that I do not like to chew iceberg lettuce. So now I but chopped romaine or butter lettuce, or spinach.

6 Weeks Out After Surgery
SleeveDreamer replied to kimcaldeira58's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I average about 10 pounds a month, and that is safe. however, you need to measure yourself and see. How many inches you are losing rather than concentrate on the pounds. they will come off, dom't worry. You aren't eating enough for them not to. -

SleeveDreamer replied to AliveAgain's topic in Food and Nutrition
