    Gray Dots?

If I look at the regular website even on my iPad, they're there but on my laptop on the regular website, that's where it says Sleeve Guru or whatever.

    Co-Workers Talking About Me!

It's a shame that some people have to be so cruel. I agree that they may be jealous. If someone confronts you and you need to respond, just tell them you wanted to have a healthier you and a healthier lifestyle and that you have made a decision that you feel is the best for you and your future health. There is nothing wrong with having this surgey. I say that I the size of my stomach decreased, not that I had it stapled. I had another issue as well, as 1/3 of my stomach had protruded up through my diaphragm and was lodged between my lungs and heded for my heart. Heart disease is the biggest killer among women and you took a precaution that would help prevent any heart conditions in the future. I am 9 months and at my goal nd I am no longer on any meds and feel great. It is a big decision, and you should be proud you are on your way to good health. Tell them it is a private matter and you really don't wish to discuss it. You are not obligated to explain.

    Starbucks

Bariatric Advantage now has a ProJoe iced latte bottled drink. 20g proetin, 120 cal, 5g carbs, and 3g sugar. They have mocha, vanilla, and chai. Not on their website yet, but you can call them to order and they give free shipping on it. 12 in a case and is actually cheaper than going to Starbucks everyday and getting a tall skinny iced latte! Love them!

    Daily Caloric Intake

I am 5 lbs. from goal at 9 months. I went to doctor today and NUT told me to stay between 800-1,000 til I lose the 5 lbs. and then increase to 1,200 to maintain. I have never been able to get in over 900 per day and usually average around 800. I am actually more concerned with carbs, which she said to increase from 60g per day while still losing and increasing to 150g per day to maintain. I can't even get in over 30g for sure. I need to start eating more to maintain and not keep losing! Luv my sleeve at 9 months.

I am on MyFitnessPal but I don't care about counting calories as much as carbs and I cannot figure out how to keep track of daily carbs at meals in my diary like you do with calories. I am 5 lbs. from my goal and need to start watching my carbs for sure to maintain. Can someone tell me where I do that? Thanks! Luving my sleeve at 9 months!

How Many Carbs Are You Eating?

I just today went to my doctor and my NUT for my 9 month appointment. I just have 5 more lbs. til my goal and I was asking about number of carbs and calories to maintain. I was told by both that until I lose my final 5 lbs., I need to stay between 800-1.000 calories and then move up to 1,200 when I get to goal to maintain. The carbs should be at no more than 60g per day while still losing and when at goal, should not exceed 150g per day. I am not even close to either! I can barely get in 900 caloires a day and I don't even get in 30g per day. I hope I can start to eat more!

    Chicken Pot Pie

I know for me it took me a long while to eat chicken again. It just tasted really gritty to me or something and also gve me heartburn for some reason. But as for the crust, I was not allowed any bread for 12 weeks. Swells too much in your sleeve and it takes at least 12 weeks to heal the staple line.

    Unjury

They also sell it at my doctor's office and at Vitamin Shoppe. I bought chicken and another flavorbefore my surgery and found I hated the powders and ended up throwing everything out I prebought before surgery. I drank Wyler's cubed reduced sodium chicken broth instead and RTD protein drinks instead. Don't go crazy buying a Bunch of stuff you may not care for. Your taste buds really change after you're sleeved.

    Awsome Crackers

Don't know. I really don't understand it that much, but carbs are not my friend. I am going to my 9 month appt. Monday and will see the NUT to see what my carb and calorie intake should be to maintain since i am at my goal. I will have her explain it to me better. I hardly eat anything with carbs! Italian metabolism here! Lol!

Didnt Think I Would Feel So Hungry!

Try to eat a little every 2-3 hours right now as well as take an acid reducer to clear the head hunger. You won't necessarily feel like you have acid reflux or anything. He had me on one twice a day for the first 2 months ( prescription). There is nothing wrong with eating something (preferably protein) every 2-3 hours. Even if it is a rtd protein drink, it will help fill you up. I found that I drank a cup of Wyler's low sodium chicken broth ( from cubes) every couple of hours and that made me at least feel like I was eating since it smelled so good. Don'tworry you won't be able to eat too much, just a little and you will get full feeling.

    You Gotta Get This App

I dowloaded this but i really don't understand what to do. Am I making it more difficult than it really is? Ha!
  20. I had my sleeve on 12/14/11 when I was almost 61 1/2. My bd was in June nd I turned 62. I am no longer on any medication and feel better than I have for years. I went from a size 18 to 4 jeans. You are never too old to be healthy. I hope people who really need this done, will realize that age is not an issue. I only had 55 lbs. to lose but it was all in my abdomen headed for my heart and in a very dangerous place. Who knows what would have happened had I not had this surgery. I also had some repair done to my esophagus at the same time from some damage from some reflux surgery I had in 1999. I feel my VSG surgeon saved my life. I never had any pain or complications, never was nauseous, and never had hair loss. i am truly blessed to have been able to have this done. Good luck to anyone over 60 who is thinking about having this done. No regrets here. LOVE my sleeve!

I would love to come to your party on 12/31, however, since I live in Southern Californbia, I doubt if I can make it! LOL! Have fun.

    December sleevers!

My surgery was December 14, 2011. I only had 55 lbs. to lose, but it was in my abdomen in a dangerous place. I have lost 61 lbs. and Monday will go for my 9 month appt. and also meet with the NUT to find out how many carbs and calories I need to intake so I can maintain and not continue to lose. Have gone from a size 18 to a size 4 jeans. Love my sleeve! Has anyone heard from babigirl?

Don't eat salad anymore. Can't stand lettuce anymore!

    Drinking With Meals.

The reason you should not drink til 30 minutes after is that you need to fill up on protein and wit 30 minutes because you will not let your body get the proper nutrients. My doctor said it will not stretch your sleeve, but if you do it all the time, it may put our body into starvation mode.
