Ohh one more thing. Don't worry too much about your restriction. It will come. This tool truely won't work until you have had a few fills..probably 3 or 4. Just hang in there! happy days ahead.

I was in the EXACT same boat. Hugs to u! I did whatever it took to get out of the relationship that was killing me. I knew I needed to get my self esteem back. The band gave me the confidence to take action and get rid of the controlling loser in my life. No more rollercoaster days for me! Life is too short girl to live like that. Start taking back your life and realize that someone that REALLY loves you wouldn't say things like.."i hope you die". Get your confidence back and find a man that truely deserves you!! Good luck keep us posted. PM me if you want about anything.

Okay Monday night. Did 70 crunches before my step aerobics class. Step aerobics had a sub instructor who decides then at the end of class to do...guess what...ab work!..LOL. A wee bit sore today. The workout was great though. Ohh asked my trainer about the feet falling asleep on the eleptical issue. He said he has heard of this issue before but really does not know why it occurs. He checked my shoe laces and shoes. But said they were great. I'm suppose to contact my doctor about it. I'm really not worried about it..I think it's just annoying. Right now its Boss's day at work. and I'm trying like hell to avoid the donuts and bagles and all the other crap sitting out..ugh!!

You usually have it filled about 6 weeks after surgery. How many times varies. The doctors fill you slowly so less chance of band slippage. I wish you luck with finding doctors in different countries. You might wanna try the Allergan :: USA site. I think they list doctors there.

Me too!!..God and I keep on going back and forth with these pounds!..ugh..I so want to be on this thread

I feel awful for you! I've never had to experience that. I've always been able to make it to the bathroom. I think through the years I've just learned my triggers pretty well. Anyways I have had accidents in the car though and that is sooo nasty..slim all over the front seat. Thank God it doesn't smell. Anyways..if I were u I would carry in your purse a plastic bag (make sure to check for holes!..lol) This way at least you don't have to right in front of yourself. I keep them in the car now and I just had to do that last week. Well sorry again to hear ur having such a hard time..*hugs* Di

Who Has Joined A Gym Or Do You Work Out At Home?
Dibaby replied to violeteyes37's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I LOVE my YMCA. It's a family atmosphere and not the meat market of other gyms. I find it loads easier to work out at the Y then at home. First of all my kid gets watched in a fabulous kids center they have. So right there its a huge benefit to me. I get a break too from her. When ur a single mom this is a blessing! Second I have signed up for alot of classes. Classes are far less boring then just using a treadmill. Also it forces me to go. I'm one of those if I'm signed up I have to go. They also have a computer called Fitlinxx that tracks everything I do. It's great! I get points as a reward and I can win different colored shirts for different levels. It's also very interesting to see all the totals that I've done. Like I know I average 200 minutes a week :Banane10: -
This is another thing that varies by doctor. But generally they want you to fast before a fill. I would't eat anything in the morning. Basically they don't want anything stuck in your band when you go for a fill. Which we all know can take hours for something to pass. Good luck with your fill. If you get woozy at all with needles make sure you let the doctor know before hand.

I did great! 3.4 pounds down..but I guess I'm still at 216..lol. I had gained the previous 2 weeks..I tell ya. It's a war. Gratz on winning the tshirt! I'm sooo jealous. I have like 7k points to go till I get one through the Fitlinxx system. hehe. I would probably have it already but I waited months till I got signed up on it like a dork. LOL Wow and you did an hour and a half on the treadmill! I can't take it that long..I'm sooo bored! Even with a good magazine..lol. In fact I think I'm gonna do another spin class just so I don't have to do the treadmill one more day..LOL Good job hon!

Honestly I haven't even looked at them in over 3 years so I bet there are better alternatives now. Maybe I will..thanks for the info

What does proper restriction feel like???
Dibaby replied to AllnewMe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You are so like me..yeah I can eat bread too..not a huge amount..but I certainly have no trouble with a mcdonalds regular hamburger or half a sandwich. In fact Subway is where I'm at alot. I can't eat the whole thing but at least I know what I'm eating..its convenient and healthy. -
The only ones I found I could stomach were over 200 calories. It's amazing what I can really find to eat for 200 calories and still have a decent amount of protein.
-
I just can't do protein shakes anymore. Really burnt out of them. Even the thought just gags me. The other thing is there's a ton of calories in those suckers. Like another poster said I also don't go nuts with the protein. I always am on the lookout though for food with high protein..beans..eggwhites..that sort of thing. But I cannot do protein shakes anymore. Oh man the bad breath I had too..ughh..nope just can't.
-
Sorry to say but it sounds like an inexperienced fill doctor. There are a hugeeee difference in fill doctors. If there is more than one available at the place u go to you might wanna just try a different one. Wow sorry to hear it went so badly.

Well had spin class last night. Went really well, expecially with the new shoes. I had a new girl next to me and the poor thing could barely do any of it. It just dawned on me how far I have progressed in the class with my stamina. Funny that I hadn't really realized it. Also did 60 crunches. I'm gonna gradually keep increasing them. I weigh in today..blah..wish me luck. I gained last week..
-
In the end..it's still about calories in..and calories going out..we cannot get around this. Also remember that your surgery is deemed a success if you have lost 40% of your total weight needed to loose. For me thats basically what it did for me. So if you want to go further your going to have to burn more calories then you take in. It's all in how bad u want it really. I too plataued for a year..gained about 10 pounds back and it finally dawned on me. I gotta do my part. It's really up to you now. If you want to keep eating around the band by grazing then thats whats going to happen..your gonna keep gaining weight back. Sorry its no magic pill.
-
Well I figured it had something to do with the blood rushing down my hands from walking. If i did keep my hands up it was far better. Now I sort of hang onto the treadmill or eleptical so they are elevated. I dunno but its really annoying. Glad I'm not the only one with the hands thing.
-
I lived on runny mashed potatoes made from a package with some melted cheddar cheese. It was heaven I remember. LOL..also tomato soup was a fav.
-
Yeah i have some special socks but no gel inserts. I think that would take up more room. anyways I think its just something odd with me. I used to have this with my hands when I would do alot of walking. They would swell up like sausages. That doesn't happen anymore. So I dunno. I think I'm just a weirdo
-
here's my look at all this. First of all you will find in time that its very easy to eat around the band if you want to (ie grazing). So yes I'm not eating the huge volumes of food I was before..but I can easily keep on snacking all day long if I don't watch myself. I do weight watchers because it is just another tool to help me realize what is going on with my eating habits. For a couple of years I refused to count calories..cause I also thought thats why I had the surgery was so I didn't have to think about my weight loss anymore..it would just "happen". So with me..the band would take me so far without me thinking about what went into my mouth..I lost about 60 pounds over the years..but then I was stuck and started fluctuating 10 pounds back and forth. Soo I got sick of weight loss stalling and figured I had to do more to get to the end. In fact the doctor's all told me I would have to do my part too..I just really didn't listen I think. Anyways..so I started picking up excercise and also decided on weight watchers. It's been great to get me going again. Anyways everyone has to do their own thing and figure out what works. It's a war I tell ya no matter what
